Killed my fruit
One of my zucchinis disintegrated and the other one looks like it was starting too. I used in the beginning of May in Louisiana; it was not hot yet.

they work
These are some cute molds, for when you are growing veggies. My son definably enjoyed having star shaped cucumbers. Now, they do not come with a locking mechanism, but zip ties worked fine, as long you make sure to use two on each edge and at least a pair in the middle. I found it easier to lock the mold and just place it on top of a budding fruit, and then harvest right as the mold gets full. If you wait too long there is a chance the mold will crack. It's ok for a curiosity thing, but honestly I ran out of patience to use them after a while. They did work great for cookies however. I froze the batter within the mold and then it was easy to slice the cookies to the desired size, without having the mess of re-rolling the dough for more cuts.

Work great!
I bought a package of screws to hold these together as suggested by one reviewer. I just assembled them and slid them onto small cucumbers. A few days later they were ready to be harvested and I was so pleasantly surprised. When cut they look just like little hearts or stars. So excited to put these in a salad. The molds are very durable. I think they will last quite a few years.

Issues but works
I went and got screws as seen in photo, did 2 heart cucumber 🥒 and worked perfectly.Today I go to use the star ⭐ and the hole is even smaller and 5 of the holes were not even drilled out. Glad I saw the holes not drilled before I went to buy smaller screws. So I just drilled all the star holes larger by slowly using 3 drill bit sizes.I now have all 4 on cucumbers on the vine.I left 1 screw out to be able to hang the mold. I also assembled the mold inside where it's cool and just slid it on the small cucumber. We had record heat this last week while the molds were on 110° multiple days in a row. And the Cucumber did fine. ( I do have shade cloth up )

Cute-cumbers!
Soooo adorable! Kinda stunts their growth in comparison to the ones without molds but still cute

Cheaply made. Do not recommend
I doubt these will last through the season. Also, you need to buy the nuts & bolts, so expect the price to be double what you are expecting

Looking forward to spring
I found the way that Disney made square watermelons and pumpkins interesting, growing them vertically and putting a mold around them when they are big enough. I got these late in the season, but next year I am looking forward to seeing if I can duplicate Disney with my cucumbers and zucchinis. This will make for an interesting effect at a dinner party.
