The MG882K-8M leads the Long Range Black IR wireless camera revolution by transmission pictures taken instantly to your phone or personal email, only if you put a GSM SIM card into the camera and have a service plan (like ATT go-phone or T-Mobile data plan) with your wireless carrier. The new GPRS data transmission method saves communication cost in many countries. The 2012 MG882K-8M is a significant upgrade to the original SG550M with Long Range capability, GPRS transmission, Black IR illumination and higher quality 8MP pictures. Well built and reliable, MG882K-8M saves you gas cost and time and give you instant report. It adds native solar charger support (optional) in addition to the external power supply support. MG882K-8M has improved water proof capability significantly. Transmitted picture size is 800x600 to email and VGA to phone, always. Video resolution is VGA (640x480). Highest picture resolution is 8MP. It comes with an enhanced antenna gives 2x stronger reception than regular antenna.

Very good BUT...
Three trips to ATT store, 23 e-mails to/ from seller, never could get the required settings from the carrier (ATT) to allow the camera to access the network consistently. It did work for a period of two weeks (don't know how or why) but when the SD card was re-formatted, no communication, just an error code. Total of 4+ hrs on the phone with ATT tech service, they really did try, but,no help. When it did work, it worked well. Hardware, 5 stars; software, 2stars.

Good Camera
The camera ist really good. I,ve used trail cameras since they first came out in 35 mm . this one is just plain fun all year long. I would have given it five stars if I could get customer service. long range PIR and blac flash make it great for all game. Couldn,t ask for better battery life . It transmits text photos to my email and i check them on my phone. Bought an ATT tract phone , took the sim card out and gave the phone to grand kids. Just call AT&T , activat the sim and ask for the unlimited text FEATURE ......$20.00 per month and you are set

WAY OVERPRICED & POOR PERFORMANCE
I have owned 3 of these and the latest model The Spartan.....their junk! You better make darn sure you have a strong AT&T signal and they send you the correct solar charger. HCO Outdoors does have warranty service but the product price WAY exceeds its expectation.
