Does it weld? Yes it welds!
It welds! I paid $98 and it actually welds. It didn't start on fire or electricute me. That pretty much earns a five star rating right there. It actually welds pretty good. In the picture I was running 3/32 7014 at 80 amps on 1/8" thick steel. It got a little to hot so I stopped so it didn't blow through and after it cooled I came back and finished the bead. I have only used it on 120 volts. I tried turning it up to 100 amps and it tripped my 20A breaker after about 7 seconds of welding but runs rod after rod at 80 amps. That's about what I would expect running 120 volts.I chose this model of the yeswelder because from the youtube videos of people reviewing them this one seemed to run at the amps you set it to where some of the other yeswelders I had my eye on could be off by as much as 20%. Plus this model can do lift TIG if I ever wanted that.Did I mention it actually welds?

Good but not great
Pretty nice. Quite like the gun. I bought this to replace a Titanium MIG170 because I needed more duty cycle, and it does that. Lots of adjustments, rather archaic menu to operate them. It's not nearly as smooth or clean a MIG as the Titanium, and if it met my duty cycle needs I would buy that again instead. I used a Hobart Handler for two decades, and it welds very similarly to that unit.

My first time welding and it seemed to work well. ( I need a lot of practice though!)
I wanted to weld a muffler to a go-kart. This worked well with 6011 1/16" sticks at about 35amps. Weld looks terrible, but that is all me! I haven't ever welded before but watched a video then decided to skip right to the job on the go-kart! skipped all the practice, but don't care, this is a beat-up go-kart anyway. The muffler didn't really fit on the pipe so I kind of filled it in a little at a time. Started at 70 amps which blew right through the thin metal but after dialing it back and figuring out how to control the heat and arc I was able to finish the ugly job. Can't wait for the next thing I get to weld! If you are like me and always wanted to play around with welding, then I would say this welder is a good start.

AMAZING MATCHINE
The media could not be loaded. I ran 10 3/32 7018 rods consecutive with no issues on a 110 outlet and 50ft of light duty extension cord. The arc force settings range from 1-10 (excellent hot start with every arc strike) I wasn't able to get the pictures of stacking beads back to back but if ran flawlessly on 110 power at 86 amps. 1/8 will require 220v power as if ran for only 3 inches of weld before tripping a breaker. I was welding at 118 amps. So to sum it up if will run flawlessly at 86 amps burning 3/32 on 110v power and 50ft of work grade extension cord. An absolute steal at 103.00 shipped.I hope to be able to afford the mig model.

Had to return
First the one thing I liked was the mig torch it seemed decent, other than that it was really a disappointment , The Power Cord had a very large Bulge in the middle of it , the screen had cracks and even the tension adjustment knob felt bad it felt like it had 10years worth of sand in it so when trying to adjust the roller tension and turn the knob it was not smooth and had a loud crunching sound it felt like a spring may have been bad or missing , which for the price is not acceptable , I was really excited for it but I had to return it . EDIT . Added a picture of the swollen power cord because that is a serious issue and I also added a pic of some of the small cracks that the screen had .

It feel fake very light very!
I like the long stick and clamp. So i did lots of research and was watching videos on youtube saw the same brand model .but mine the led amp doesn't move ?and i triple check the video and was like wtf!the youtube video led read out what amp its putting out.this is some shaddy stuff.so i returned the 160a welder and get this message!you may not get a refund it depends on the condition of the welder!i really don't give a crap its just a picture of some guy ben.it weight less than 9 lbs and welding on 120v it blew clamp ground led wire im sure this 100$ welder will not last and it's designed engineered to fail no matter how you use it I think that's the latest technology.good youtube video.and i have not found a welder that is harder to use.you get what you payed for i should have kept it and made a youtube video about why mine had different amperage displayed why? had a live amperage meter ?so that is how targeted ad work?i had this welder for 1 day and 1 night so im no fool.
