Fine examples of a questionable idea.
I've decided not to bother with potato bags again. The problem is that the potato plant is quite top-heavy which means the sides of the bag tend to sag, which means the compost flows out or the water you put on the plants in the summer runs away before it soaks in and the sagging, misshapen bags look untidy in the garden like someone dumps their rubbish in the corner. I think I personally prefer solid planters. I think if you were packing them into a frame that hid them and kept them in form then potato bags would be great. All of this might be different for a different crop - maybe tomatos. In principle you can take them down over the winter - but them where do you put the partially-used compost? With that said, these are perfectly good, durable potato grow bags. Good value and the handles make them easy to move around. I don't know if they'd survive more than a single winter. If you're going to give potato bags a go, these are a good value option.

Not great for growing potatoes in.
These bags are just far too "floppy" to grow spuds in, you cannot plant seed potatoes in about a quarter of the height of the bag of soil and then mound them up in stages till the bag is full because, due to the terribly flimsy nature of the material the bags are made of, they flop onto the top of the soil and prevent light getting to the emerging shoots so they do not turn green and grow as small green plants till they are at sufficient height to mound them up. Won't buy this product again as Amazon stock plenty of growing bags which are suitable for growing potatoes properly and in future I won't buy anything other than the ones I have bought from Amazon in the past.
