BERGEON6767-F Watch Spring Bar Tool - Long Stainless Steel Handle with Replaceable Screw New

Wow, I changed a watch band in 20 seconds.
I'm very happy with the tool. It seems sturdy so far. After reading crappy reviews for other cheaper versions (they said the tool end can bend or break right away), I was willing to pay extra for a good one. I'm glad I did and I'd say it's well worth it. This tool will pay for itself, with me replacing the band myself instead of a jeweler, in just 2-3 times. It doesn't come with any instructions, which is not a problem because it's pretty obvious. Like I said in my header, I changed a watch band in 20 seconds the first time I used this tool. But a few tips may be helpful:1) When removing a band, use the smaller rounded end to push the pin IN while pulling slightly out on the band. It will pop out easily. Do this in an area with a white background where the pin can't fall and get lost on the ground. They do pop and it's easy to loose the little buggers, especially on a rug.2) When installing a band, use the forked end. First install one end of the pin, which you can do by hand.3) Then use the the forked end of the tool to install the other end. Look for the little raised area near the end of the pin. Use the forked end to push down on the raised area, making the length of the compressed end shorter.4) While pushing down on the pin, have the pin smack up next to the watch head close to the hole it needs to go into. Push it down while slightly pushing the band toward the watch head.5) Keep pushing down with the fork, until the pin slides under the edge of the watch head. Be sure to be also pushing the band (slightly) toward the watch head when you are doing this, so it doesn't slip out again.6) Don't worry about getting it exactly into the hole at first. Just make sure you get the pin under the edge of the watch head close to where the hole is. Once you do that, keep pushing a bit on the watch band (toward the watch head) and then you can nudge or slide the watch band a little one way or another until the pin snaps into place. And then tug a little on the band to make it sure the pin is fully inserted and secure done. Voila, done.6) When buying replacement pins, be sure to check the exact size of the pin you will need. It's too tiny to measure yourself, so look for that size on the specs of the watch on the listing where you bought it. That will be clear when they state the width of the band. The reviews will tell you that most of the pins sold in kits are flimsy and some kits don't have the exact size you need. If it's a smidge too short, your watch band will sooner or later pop off and your watch will go flying to the ground, hopefully not onto concrete.Or watch a video online, although they just show a guy doing it - they don't give these little tips.Bottom line: don't skimp on a quality tool or quality pins or they may not last. There are no replacement heads provided on this tool, but hopefully you will not need them. The tool should not be bending anyway, because it's not a matter of force, so much as having your tool and pin exactly aligned. If you follow the tips above, you'll find it's a snap. I hope this review is helpful. Anybody can do this.

A watch enthusiast must have!
The other reviews are bang on... there is a very large difference between this and the usual cheapo models. If you're a watch enthusiast of any measure... but this tool. You won't regret it.
