More expensive but better quality than typical quick connects
Years ago I converted all the garden hoses at my house to metal quick connect couplers. I bought them at Walmart to try out and they were OK... for a while. The trouble with a lot of the inexpensive couplers is that there is no seal between the male and female ends. They rely on the seal between the female housing and the hose to protrude far enough inward so that when the male end is inserted it will bottom out on the seal. This doesn't work well and is always a balancing act between too much preload on the seal (can't get the connectors apart or put them together) and too little preload (leaks everywhere). When I saw this connector with a separate o-ring seal on the male end, I finally made up my mind to scrap those junky Walmart quick connects. You get 14 pairs of connectors in this pack. I doubt I'll ever need all those female connectors (I don't have 14 garden hoses at home) but I can certainly use a lot of the male connectors. I have hose nozzles, a pressure washer, a gutter cleaning wand, a sprinkler... it adds up fast. Each connector pair comes with 3 hose seals as well as a spare o-ring for the male connector. This is a nice touch because it gives you replacements for the most common leak points (as long as you can remember where you put them a year or two from now). I didn't check to see but I'm guessing that the o-ring is a common size, probably metric. I won't run out for a while, but if I ever do I'm sure I'll be able to find some.I made the swap last Saturday and instantly eliminated all the leaks that were plaguing my old connectors. Good riddance to those things, these are WAY better.Whenever I install any hose connectors, I put a light layer of Super Lube on the threads and o-rings. This keeps the metal parts from seizing together and the rubber parts from abrading during assembly/disassembly. I also install a 1/4 turn shutoff before each quick connect (on the end of the hose). This allows me to shut off the water before disconnecting things. Now I don't have to fight the water pressure to unplug a hose nozzle, and it keeps the mess to a minimum. This kit was right around $40, which is more money than you'd likely spend if you just bought a few connectors at the hardware store. However, these appear to be high quality, you get a lot of them, and you get spare seals to keep them going for years (I hope). Even a cheapskate like me can see the value in them.

Wonderful and so useful!
I have connected all my hoses and nozzles with these and now I can move any hose or nozzle to any spigot on my property thanks to these. I did learn a hard lesson about over tightening them and planning out the placement before attaching them but now everything is perfect and nothing leaks. I took it one step ahead and added in-line shut off points so I don’t have to go to the spigot each time to swap nozzles or move hoses. A word of warning, make sure you attach brass to brass and aluminum to aluminum. If you attach a brass connection to an aluminum one they can (over time) basically become one and will be almost impossible to unscrew. If you do have to connect the two different types make sure to use Teflon tape or something similar.

Works great!
These came with extra hose washers and o rings. Made it easy to replace the worn one on the hoses.I don't have a faucet out by the garden so i have one long hose and a 4-way connected at the garden for my drip system and sprayer. I've used these quick connects on everything! I have to move all the hoses when the mower service comes and these make that almost painless! I need to replace the 100ft hose with 2 50ft ones so it'll be easier to handle. One quick connect in the middle and half the weight of the hose. I'm 65 and lugging those hoses around is fairly taxing. Should see about getting a faucet put out there.

Doesn’t leak
I’ve been replacing all my old plastic quick connections with these brass connections. I like the ‘O’ rings that prevent leaks. I have not had one leak since installing. I recommend these for everyone looking for positive strong leakproof connections. Forgot to add, the glow of water and the pressure is better.

Tired of twisting to connect hoses and want a solution that works GREAT? Buy these
I have used many hose quick connectors and they were all just mostly ok. Sure they were faster than twisting to connect each time, but every different design had defects that caused inconvenience or leaks. These work perfectly with ease every time. They are a unique design that doesn't work with connectors from the big box stores, but you'll want to replace everything at once to get the easy operation anyways. Brass construction for durability and corrosion resistance and they include plenty of extra washers for the future. And these do not rely on special washers like some systems do.These do not have a check valve, which is what I prefer. The units with a check valve can get stuck because the water pressure binds them together, so they cannot be separated under pressure anyways. Instead I always put a shutoff valve at each hose end so that the valve can be shut off, pressure relieved, and then the new device installed. No fighting against the water pressure.Do yourself a favor and just buy these. You will not regret your choice.

Awesome
Can't talk these up enough. Much easier to connect/disconnect the garden hoses. They have 0 leaks and are all metal and I have 0 concern about them breaking.

The sleeve piece goes on the spigot side
i bought a different set that had the male and female threads opposite, and it drove me nuts. the standard and more ergonomical way is to start with the sleeve piece on the spigot. then you will end up with the smaller plug piece on your sprayer handles. this also means the free end of your hose has the sleeve piece, which is much more durable to being dragged across surfaces, since its mating surfaces are protected. this is the same way similar connectors are done with compressed air in industrial facilities.

Almost perfect
These are very good quick connects. Leaks will only happen if you over tighten them causing the rubber washer to deform and slide out of position. The extra washers are a plus. Each set is in its own baggie and all sent in a box for easy storage. That being said, the threads of the male quick connect could be longer as it gets entirely buried into the tool and becomes difficult to tighten. Finally, the only other nitpick I can make is - I would have preferred more male connects and less female quick releases as you'll never need that many releases but can always use more connects, but that's just a preference.

No shutoff
Good quality but can't changes accessories as it does not cut flow of watet if no nozzle attched. My old plastic ones had Integrated valve...
