Q: what is the warranty?

Possible solutions to everyone having difficulty with this gun. 1). I have learned that when I use a really sharp utility blade to cut half the connecting tabs, the tabs what holds the strip of staples together, that the staples drive in better and detach from the gun almost flawlessly. The strip of staples will become somewhat floppy, so I cut them right before I load the gun. 2). You have to keep firm pressure on top of the business end of the gun. Yes that limits the distance that I can stretch out, but having the staple drive in securely is worth the effort. 3). It takes practice to get the hang of it, but it will come to you if you stay with it and think through how the gun works and its limitations, then I think you will become more satisfied with it. Most all of my use has been longest staples over 12/2 romex.

Q: How do you load a Gardner bender 500 staple gun

I have found the best way to load them is by throwing them in the garbage and buying an Arrow T59 or T72 gun. The GB 500s are exasperating pieces of junk. They will jam continuously and misfire all the time.

Q: Will these rust if they are used outdoors?

Yes, they are NOT stainless steel

Q: Will this work on 6/3 NM romex?

To all who find this tool a defective unit, probably got a defective unit from the manufacturer. I have mine since they first came out years ago and still going strong. If you use tools properly they should work. If not try the arrow T59 and see if it works out or fits the bill for you
