The Rotten Romans (Horrible Histories) Paperback – 7 May 2007

Was always a bit sceptical about the relevance of the contents in horrible histories - but on the assumption the info is correct in these books - it is an engaging way of getting children to look beyond the obvious things we may know about a period in time

These book are always a good read, warts and all with the kids and it was cheap enough to purchase for his topic work at school. Enough gore to satisfy the most curious of kids!

Came in mint condition.I am planning to give it as a gift but read through it first.It is good, even adults would enjoy this just wish it had a bit more content.Price including postage and packaging was good.

Originally bought it for my son who was doing his Roman project at school. I started reading it and could not put it down. Passed it on to my son who was very keen to finish the book. Found him a couple of mornings,woken up earlier than usual reading the book in his bed. Highly recommend it for kids and adults ;-)

This was part of my grandsons birthday present,he now listens to the tale and appears to be pleased,for myself I am pleased with the present in that it is an introduction to history however it is put across,put across in a manner pleasing to an eight year old boy is brilliant.

Kindle edition hard to read on older e-ink kindles. Every page is an image; the text is smaller and less legible than normal. You can't change text size, only zoom into a corner of the page.I found the older 2011 edition does not have this problem.

A wonderful tramp through Roman history in an amusing and well thought out way. Could use a song or two

it was good i never got bored when reading this book (same with lots of others)but there was a lot i mean like a lot a lot of rats

This is a GREAT book. In their early teens, my boys learned Roman history from it and never forgot it! They can still spout of facts they learned from this series a decade later. I recently sent it to an adult friend who is interested in Roman history and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
