I am not a fan of large watch cases - which have been popular for some time now. I remember when a standard Rolex Oyster case was 36mm. At 38.5mm, this classic looking, beautiful watch is just right for me! Very elegant without being gaudy. I like the subtle pattern on the face, and the blue hands really set it off. Being close to 70 years old and retired, the day display (as well as date) is helpful. The brown leather band is good quality, and the lighter stitching is a nice touch. Keeps very good time for an automatic. The band clasp system is a little awkward to close, but is a small inconvenience compared to the overall value of this watch. Recommended.
