High quality desk and easily modified
I wrote a glowing review for Zinus' Soho dining table and I ended it by saying that if the Zinus desk I planned to get was even half as good, it would get high marks from me. Even though my positive experience with the dining table had significantly raised my exceptions, this desk still exceeded them. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a simple, high quality, standard size desk. If what you need is a 55" x 24" x 29" rectangle to put your mouse, keyboard and monitor on, just stop looking right now and buy this desk.As soon as I assembled the desk I bought another one. The first one I bought was the espresso color and cost me $70. The second one doesn't match (the espresso was out of stock) and cost $105, but I didn't hesitate for a second. $105 is an excellent price for this desk... $70 is an unbelievably good deal. The strength of these desks is their simplicity: a dense slab of the best particleboard I've ever seen attached to a strong metal frame by ten bolts. I drilled 3/8 inch holes in my desks for monitor mounts with confidence; the particleboard these are made out of is so dense and strong it redefines the term. The quality is excellent. The particleboard desktop and thick textured veneer feel substantial and seem to be nonporous. The metal frame is machined to tolerances so precise that it makes it a little difficult to assemble. This is a VERY GOOD thing; due to the high quality and tight tolerances, the metal frame is extremely sturdy. The simple design also allowed me to easily implement other useful modifications. I used rubber-lined duct rings as cable management along the edge of the underside by slipping the tabs between the desktop and the frame, and between the bolt head and the frame. I highly recommend this if you're going to use one of these desks for a desktop PC. And if you want to drill holes for cable management, monitor mounting, etc. you can do that with confidence; these desks have very dense and strong desktops.Obviously, I'm immensely pleased with these desks. They are the backbone of a long-overdue remodel of my home office. For that remodeling, I also bought a 20" x 20" Zinus end table to use as shelving for a printer and laptop under one these desks; it fit perfectly and is of comparable quality. I've included photos of the desk, the end table and the rubber-lined rings I used for cable management.

Pretty nice for the price
Clean design and very easy to assemble. Came packaged nicely with no damage. The only blemishes I found were at the end of the legs (on the outside unfortunately). This is clearly from their manufacturing process as the same indent can be found on all 4 legs. The top feels nice and seems pretty scratch resistant. I do wish the bolt holes were a bit smaller to accommodate the provided hardware. I used some washers I had laying around for some added surface area. Seems plenty sturdy overall. It's a nice size and height for a minimalist gaming setup. As a bonus it comes with the cutest little rachet I've ever seen.

Great desk
This was easy to put together, and is quality material. It’s great for work from home set up and matches my other oak/white furniture.

It's the little things.
So, a quick over view of the desk. I bought the 55 inch Espresso colored one, and it is exactly as advertised. It was extremely easy to put together, basically the metal pieces slot together, and the top is bolted on to the frame. If you have a nice open space, should take under 20 minutes to assemble, so simple the instructions aren't even needed, and how many times can you say that about flat pack furniture? It is also very solid and sturdy; no wobbling, buckling, or bending of any kind, and the faux wood top is smooth, solid, and water resistant. I wouldn't use it as a step stool for fear the top might break, but this should have no problem whatsoever holding 50+ pounds. Beautifully fits my computer and two 22 inch monitors. So, the table itself is excellent quality for it's price, definitely worth the buy, but I want to add a bit about Zinus. This is the second piece of furniture I have bought from Zinus. The first was a metal bed frame about a year ago, and I have been very happy with it. I just feel it is worth mentioning the little things that make me appreciate this company over others I have bought flat packs from.1. The packaging. The packaging is simple, and unremarkable, with one very appreciated small touch; the foam they used came in a plastic bag. If you've ever gotten furniture packed in this kind of foam, you have probably been greeted by a bunch of little white foam bits flying everywhere when you open the box, as well as it clinging to you and everything in the box. It's a mess and very annoying. Because Zinus puts their foam in a bag before packing, it means that it stays in the bag if it breaks apart. No mess, no extra clean up. Nice touch.2. Quality rubber feet. Most furniture that sits on the ground comes with little pads that you stick to the bottom to prevent damaging your floors. They are usually thin, don't provide much grip, and don't stick well. The pads provided with this are THICK rubber which provide a lot of padding and grip on hard floors, but are also rigid and sticky enough that they actually stay on if you slide the desk a little bit.3. Included Ratcheted Allen Wrench, as opposed to the basic L-shaped wrench included with every other piece of furniture ever. Honestly, it's not needed here, as there are a total of 12 bolts to screw, and they are all very easy to get to, but Zinus actually spent the extra few cents to include a ratcheted allen wrench to make screwing in the bolts a tiny bit easier.Admittedly, all of these things are fairly minor and ultimately, don't necessarily affect the ultimate question, "Is it a good desk?" But, these are the kind of thoughtful little things that I believe no where near enough companies do, and shows they actually put additional thought into customer satisfaction above and beyond simply giving you what you paid for. And I think that deserves praise.
