Rolton E500 Portable Stereo Bluetooth Speakers FM Radio Clear Bass Dual Track Speaker TF Card Music Player (Black)

This is my 3rd Rolton radio. I connect an FM transmitter to my bedroom TV, and transmit the sound to the radio, which I Velcro to my head board so I can hear the TV without blasting it, driving my wife and cat nuts.My first two Roltons (W403's) broke, one the on off switch failed, the 2nd the USB charging port failed. This one cost a bit more, and has more features, and much better sound. It also has BlueTooth so I don't need the FM transmitter any longer as my TV has Bluetooth and the radio connect effortlessly. I really like the fact that the radio charges with a standard USB 5w Cell phone charger, so you can leave the radio connected 24/7 and never need to actually use the battery. One thing I don't like is the battery is not accessible far as I can tell. If the battery fails you can't replace it. Because of my single purpose for this radio, I don't use other features like recording so no comment on that, but theBluetooth and sound quality is great.

Nice and smazing device - a lot of features and all of them working just fine. I am surprised! Excellent product for the money! There are few things that could make the device even better:1. The signal interferes with the hand/body electromagnetic field disturbing the signal. The station signal power has to be strong in order for the sound to be clear - otherwise it'd be two mixed stations. You must find the right spot for some channels.2. It was nice to be able searching for channels manually by browsing the frequency 1-2 units at a time. Here you only are able pushing the search (back/forward) and it stops when it finds a (pretty strong) station/signal. It is then added in its memory (probably more than 60).3. Regarding memory: you can not select a station and set in a numbered memory - it is only set by itself by the order the station is found. You either know and input the frequency of the station or the memory number that was assigned when it was found. Oterwise, you have to go through all the memorised channels. As I said, for the money (about $20), it does a lot of things (and it does them very well). Other than "radio issues", I have no complaints.PS - I did not check the recorder, the flash drive audio and I did not answer my phone while using the device so, I can not say anything about it. I took a selfie though from the distance. It is a nice feature. It has separate bluetooth for audio and selfies.9/10/2017I've got a micro card for checking the Recording mode but, for some reason, it is not working. I've followed the instructions by "Long press(ing) (microphone button) under radio/record mode" but nothing happened. There is no recording! Could anybody help me with this? Thank you!

Bought this for my son's room so he could have music at bedtime. We don't use any of the other features, but we loaded his favorite songs on a Micro SD card and he's able to play it whenever he likes. Controls are simple enough for a 5 year old to use. Seems sturdy enough and good quality for the price. Sound is great. Good range in volume. (Nice and quiet for bedtime but also gets very loud if you want it.) Worked great for a week, but then it suddenly wouldn't turn on. Tried charging it and no luck. But one press of the reset button and voila! Works great again! Not sure what that was about, rather annoying that it needed that after only a week. But easy fix so I'm happy with it!

A few dollars more for this stereo version if you want good quality sounding stereo speakers in a small box is well worth it. I received this radio in a nice box suitable for gifting. I charged it up and started using it and judging it's really better than expected sound quality. Stereo speakers give it a great deep quality not found in most small portables like this. It feels like a solidly built unit. The battery lasts a long time without worry and FM reception is better than average. Really the only faults I have been able to think of is that the buttons could be more ergonomic in terms of size and placement. They could be a little easier to use if they were a little bigger and not so close together. Programable favorite stations would also be a step up. There is a low power/brightness flashlight integrated into the body of this little radio which I find entirely useless. I suppose it could be handy for campers or something of such nature. All in all for a radio/bluetooth speaker/mp3 player that fits in your pocket and actually has sound quality that you can stand to listen to for several hours, it is a good buy and is recommended.

Really like this small radio, Just purchased in June 2021.The sound is outstanding, and love that I can download music to my phone and it has the Bluetooth and many other functions that I'm not to sure of. This Is my second one because the first one just died without any warning and so did this one. I have tried the reset hole with a needle and tried a paperclip. There is a hole but no depression indicating that there is a reset that is functional. I'm going to purchase a 3rd radio. Hopefully this one will

Got the radio/bt speaker about a week ago. I think it is great. Stopped working, and I remembered reading reviews that cautioned to use the reset hidden button. It worked, so if yours quits, use a small paper clip to push the reset and you'll probably find it works just fine. I find every function amazing and mine came with English instructions, that are sufficient if you are willing to experiment a little. It is quite small but has very good sound quality for the price and size. I live rurally, and found the preset located 31 stations and I wasn't even near a window... I think it is great, would buy again and reccomend this radio/bluetooth speaker. By the way, I put in a mini SD card with music and the playback works great too... Even the flashlight led has proved handy... The replaceable 18650 Lithium ion battery means it could last a very, very long time. At less than $20 it is a fantastic buy.

Iv had this product for like two years and have had a great time using it for yard work or in a room in the house where I need a blue tooth speaker, the radio works really well and the blue tooth works great, dosnt sound as good as a Bose speaker but for a 4th of the cost is buy four of these before I’d buy one of those.

Small, compact with good sound. Ability to select song to play.

Amazing clearity in sound......
