Essential for embroidery!
This has made my embroidery projects so easy. The pen washes away. If you mess up you can just wash it away and try again. I use fonts from online and you can trace with a computer screen shinning through or free hand names. I’m so glad I bought this instead of using a pencil.

A good cross-stitching pen
Since I have bought this pen I have used it to grid a total of three projects (not complete) and then it ran out. This is a good pen for a beginner or to use for cross-stitching like I use it for. However, there are a few set backs. One is that the tip of the pen is too thick for the fabric I use. I gridded on 16 and 18 count Aida fabrics and both times it felt like the line would not be exactly centered and sometimes if I'm not careful it looks like the next column was gridded on accident. Second is I felt like the pen was spent too quickly. I gridded 10x10 squares and maybe grid a total surface area of 12x12" give or take (like I mentioned, I only grid parts of my pieces at a time) so my current work in progress is not complete and I will have to buy a new pen. It would work well with 14ct or larger fabric if that is your interest. As for washing out, it washed out well after a few minutes in slightly above-room-temperature-yet-not-quite-boiling water. No marks leftover!

Hard to tell if it rinses out thoroughly until the item is dry.
I used this to draw on the face of a plushie I was embroidering and to mark some of the sewing markings (which is not it's intended use) but it doesn't rinse out completely. It disappears when you add water but when it dries you can still see a bit of blue if you don't rinse it out thoroughly. The doll faces ended up with a little blue remaining even after I rinsed them.

Blue, blue everywhere!
I was SO excited to find this product! I do hand embroidered hoop pieces and pencil often leaves behind lines when you hand-draw your own designs. Well.... this marker is worse. 😩 At first I was very excited . I tested it on scrap fabric before beginning and it came clean easily! After half of my project was complete I started “erasing” the blue transfer lines. Imagine my surprise when the lines reappeared!! I have been through the process of attempting to get rid of the lines repeatedly and they always show back up in the same places and also in new spots... like it is spreading through the fibers instead of disappearing. So frustrating!!! I just hope I can save this piece I have already invested time in with a stain removal stick.

So Handy
I'm new to embroidery and began it as a craft to do with my little girl. This pen shows up as blue marker on fabric, but when exposed to water, the blue instantly washes away and disappears. It has come in handy for a variety of other fabric projects since I purchased it. For example, we made fabric rosettes by cutting circles of fabric and stitching them together. It was so easy to use this pen to trace the circles and convenient to know that it would rinse away and not show afterward. I can't comment on how long the pen will last, but having had it a few months, I've gotten much use out of it. It's a great crafter's tool!

Great for cross stitch counting
Works great on Aida - I use it on every single cross stitch pattern to ensure I'm counting correctly. Never have any issues rinsing it out with just cool water. Surprised at how well the tip holds up given how often I'm running it against textured material, but there are no signs of major wear after over a year of using the same one.

Excelente!
