Huge hit with anyone that visits my office. My only gripe is that the bow of the violin is just a stick and not an actual bow. Otherwise excellent craftsmanship and the astronaut is adorable

I bought an astronaut figurine for my nephew awhile back. It was so fun I thought about buying one for myself. I saw these instrument playing astronauts and couldn't resist. Just got it yesterday and am very pleased with it. It arrived on time and in excellent condition. I've ordered one playing the flute since my niece plays flute. They just need to come out with a trombone so I can give it to my nephew who just started trombone lessons.🙂

INTRO:This is one of many statues in Paimuni’s collection that feature an astronaut playing a musical instrument. This review is for the Spaceman with a “Silver” face shield playing an “Electric Guitar”.PROS:This makes the perfect gift for a loved one who loves Space and music!The silver face shield on the astronaut’s space helmet is very reflective, creating a sense of realism that mirrors the surrounding areas in front of the statue (see attached photo). This effect gives you a sense that the astronaut inside sees exactly what’s reflected in his/her helmet.This statue has beautiful details and just enough color in the right places to give it some imaginative life.The gold music notes painted on the moon beneath the astronaut match the headstock and dials on its electric guitar, as well as accents on either side of the astronaut’s space helmet.Gazing at this statue makes you wonder what song the astronaut might be playing on its guitar and if he/she is singing along too.It isn’t just a statue, it’s art — I quickly found an appreciation for the artistry and design that went into making this sculpture.CONS:The statue arrived perfectly safe and intact, and I should probably thank the custom styrofoam packing materials for that. However, I strongly dislike when styrofoam breaks apart into little white balls that static cling to just about everything, Argh!!! I can’t take off any stars from my review for this, it’s unavoidable with styrofoam (except to use different packing materials), but I’m mentioning it here in case anyone else out there has the same major pet peeve!I wish that the statue was a little bit heavier to reduce the likelihood that my young daughter might knock it over and break it. However, so long as it doesn’t take a long fall to the ground, it feels durable enough to likely survive a gentle bump.REVIEW SUMMARY:We’re a family that loves Space and Music! This beautiful statue is the perfect addition to our daughter’s Space-themed bedroom.
