Cranks my engine like new. What a difference compared to my ailing starter that was slowly dying. This was selection took a bit to figure out because by NO FAULT of the vendor, because it is the exact replacement for my dead one, it was a challenge figuring out which starter I needed. The OEM parts manual called for a different starter than this one for my 2.4L Merc. The OEM replacement i initially ordered did not have the right tooth count for my flywheel. After doing research and changing to this starter with the correct drive gear, it worked like a champ. The OEM parts book thru me for a curve but I'm happy with the selection I made here and it did solve my problem! Fit perfectly. Connected up and engages perfectly!

Starter works exactly as it should. Fast shipping and delivery. Only down side which is why I give 4 stars is: the starter does not come with new rubber shims. I had to reuse the old shims that are worn and dry rotting until I could get to a dealer for new shims
