Has anyone used this honey as a face mask? Is it suitable for use on the face?

Yeah! I use it by itself, or occassionally in combination with a few drops of tea tree oil. Really soothing, a great anti-inflammatory, healing of any sores or scrapes, and helpful for spots or blackheads. It also moisturises at the same time as being a powerful antibacterial, and antifungal (or so the research and hype suggests!)

Does this honey cristalised? Any best honey should not cristalised in winter when temperature goes down.

Not sure why you’d think so. When honey crystallises, that’s a sign it’s pure, with no chemicals added. My granddad had beehives, my uncle went commercial with his honey, and it’s a well-known fact in our family that good honey will and should crystallise over time. If you’re not happy with crystallised honey, simply heat it gently. Use a Bain Marie pot or try dipping the jar in lukewarm water (careful not to overheat water and cause the jar to crack). This crystallisation myth must be some marketing scam from honey producers who cut corners.

Is this honey active?

Haven't opened it yet, but the labelling suggests that it is.

Is it normal for this product to be orange colour and grainy as other Manuka I have bought has been paler and smooth ?

Most high UMF Manuka tends to be a dark orangey colour and have a jelly like consistency and I’ve always found Steens to be especially orange and jelly like! I’ve never encountered graininess which suggests the honey is either old (unlikely - you can use the QR code on the Honey to track when it was processed) or been exposed to the cold for a time. Gentle warming should get rid of the crystals but I wouldn’t bother as that might damage the active compounds and granulation doesn’t affect the underlying quality of the honey just its texture!
