Great water block as always EK.
So I got my 1900x and Asus Zenith Extreme motherboard finally, and threw on my old H100i. It's the original H100i, not the V2. And it could NOT handle keeping the 1900x cool, even at idle, amazingly. I would turn on the new computer, and when I would get into the BIOS I would literally watch the CPU temp rise.... 60°C......70°C......80°C.... and I would of course shut it down when it got to about here. And this only took a minute or two to get that high, so I couldn't even flash the newest BIOS with the H100i, let alone install Windows, even on my NVMe SSD. Now my H100i is a couple years old at this point, and has cooled my 5820k for that whole time so maybe it's just starting to die, would be my guess. So thankfully I had all the parts lying around for my EK custom loop, and I ordered this block. It's temporary however, as I do plan to buy the x399 Asus Zenith Extreme monoblock immediately upon it's release from EKWB. However until then, this block is keeping my 1900x at a nice frosty 30°C at idle, and absolute max of 50°C under load. It's a fantastic block, as always from EK. If you bought threadripper this time around, you should get this. If you don't already have the parts for a custom loop, look into one of their kits if you are on a budget. I originally bought the L240 (R2.0) kit from them, and then added more parts as it was cheaper this way then buying every part in the kit separate.Hope this helps someone! Have a good one. :)(P.S. yes I'm adding the GPU to the loop soon)

One of the only ones out there that cover the whole back plate, evenly
This is one of few water blocks out there for the threadripper. That being said after searching for several hours this is one of 2 I found that actually the the whole back plate of the processor. The other being an as well, being full nickle rather than plated. Mine had looked like someone misplaced the contact plate sticker and got the plate dirty doing so on a small part and covered the remaining plate with another of the same stickers. A small sumdge is nothing to worry about, just a little alcohol took it off and readied it for application at the same time.

Crap block I bought this from PPC as it was the only block on the market. After having swapped to the XSPC tr block my load temps OCed dropped 15c. I checked the seating and block internals multiple times on the plexi and acetate as I have 2 of these EK blocks. BUY THE XSPC DO NOT BUY THIS BLOCK IT UNDER PERFORMS.

Amazing for Threadripper cooling
I was really on the fence about this since it had some bad reviews, however at the price it was I was willing to take the gamble. I know threadripper stuff is expensive to begin with and I shouldn't be frugal, however I just couldn't justify spending another 150 on a all in one unit. Nor 400+ bucks on a custom loop from EK Web or Alphacool. I ran this with a 240mm radiator with just 2 corsair mag lev fans in a push setup mounted to the top of a case. Also have a DDC pump, soft tubing and a inline filter. I was able to build a custom setup for 140 which operates much better than an AIO 360mm enermax which is the gold standard for tr4 all in ones. The cooling capability of this with a 1950x 16 core setup running @ 100% 24/7 is 54 Celsius. Keep in mind this is at 100% all cores all the time (I use the PC for seti@home) Ide it sits at 30c. On my enermax 360 AIO its running around 61c at 100% all cores as well. However that's a 1920x processor which is only a 12 core and should run cooler.Trust me you wont be disappointed in this block, its very very well made, all metal. Cools the threadripper amazingly well. The only real advice I can give is be slow and steady when applying thermal paste and make sure you dont put too much one (which might be previous reviewers actual problems) Take your time and smooth out any lumps. Use a old credit card for best success!

Not engineered for X399, all they did was took the old block and added thick metal to the sides. Bought an XSPC block saw a temp difference of 10-20c.
