Code Blue Tarsal Gland (2-Ounce)

I’ve used for the last 2 years and although I don’t see deer come to the tarsal gland spot, I have seen 3 times as many deer come through my area in general. Doesn’t seem to scare them away

I have used this consistently for two hunting seasons. I now buy a bottle at the beginning of every season. I put a small drop on a cloth I have hanging from a tree and it does the trick. I have called in many buck and they put their nose in the air and try to pinpoint the buck making the tarsal gland scent, but instead they find me in a tree with a crossbow coming at 400fps.

This stuff is potent. Deer urine smells pretty strong but this stuff is enough to take your breath away and gag you when you first open it. Wear gloves and open it slowly only when you are ready to use it! I gave it 4/5 stars because it lacks any form of an applicator. Other brands have a small plastic stick inside the lid that you can use to wipe it on a tree branch.Take care when storing this stuff. You can smell it through the container, through a ziplock bag, and a rubbermade storage tub all at the same time. This is all before opening the package it came in too. Imagine if you spilled a little on the side and tossed it in your pockets.While I can't vouch for any trophy deer or mock scrape activity in the first couple weeks, I can say I watch two small bucks smelling at the branch I applied it to. It didn't spook them at all. If you are making a mock scrape you need to start this process months prior to hunting season.

I had Used this product this season and one of the first few times I took a beautiful 6pt buck. Just before he came by, a smaller buck hot on a doe stopped in his tracks to smell around for this. It definitely helps out in the field. Only complaint, somehow the threaded glass part of the bottle cracked at some point and leaked out the product. All in all, I would recommend this product!

It did not attached deer during the day light hours, at night it was a different story....the deer came right up to where the Code Blue was at.....

Used this and dragged on the ground and hung in tree several days. Didn't bring in any bucks. I had a couple bucks eating from food plot but never went anywhere near this thing.
