Don't use plastic hooks that comes with it.
The media could not be loaded. So far so good. I like that they are compact and I have room to walk into my closet now. Easy to put together Directions could be a little more clear as far as which side is inside and which is outside. But the plastic clips that keep it from tipping over are small and adhesive. You zip tie through the clips which is fine but they were off the wall once I put shoes in and walked away. I got Eye Plate U Hooks that screw into wall. It's in my video. That is much, much better! Shoes are heavy. This is a light item. Just all plastic and metal. But they look good and keep shoes from getting dusty and are out of the way in my closet now so I can walk in and not trip on my shoes that fell off the old style shoe rack.

Works as expected
Love the fact it fits behind my front door so when my grandsons remove their shoes they can put them up and I don’t have to trip on them.

**UPDATE** Fits the space, could be better…
Update, 1 year later- Didn’t even last the year. The door function was the first thing to go, with them popping out of their little slots so easily after maybe a couple month’s use. Quite annoying. The thin plastic didn’t stand a chance and dented and dimpled and creased almost immediately in that high traffic spot. Also, though wall mounting it seemed a good idea at the time, gravity was stronger than the angle brackets and the bottom kept falling off. Ended up tying them on with kitchen twine to hold it all together. Finally, about 8 months in, our two big dogs were playing and bashed into it; the whole thing was toast. Honestly, we’d been limping it along by then. Wouldn’t buy again, unless the manufacturer gave it some serious upgrades to, well, all of it.—Original Review:The shoe rack arrived this afternoon and I set to work immediately putting it together. I was so tired of the shoe clutter that would take over my teeny entryway and tripping over our regular shoe rack was irritating!Instructions were minimal, but easy enough to follow. The parts list was a huge help in knowing where to begin, and I was happy to find they included a little plastic hammer to help tap the brackets in place. Putting it together proved finicky and time-consuming, and the side panels (especially the doors) are flimsier than I expected. From the photos here they looked like solid sheets of hard plastic, but in reality they’re little thicker than vellum and dimple very easily. At least the frames that hold the panels together are metal, but it too was not as expected - they’re not much thicker than a wire coat hanger!Once I got everything fitted together in the brackets, I set to work zip-tying the separate cubes together. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP, especially if you’re going to place the cubes in any configuration other than a tower. I chose to have two stacks of two cubes each side by side (pictured) to fit them under my coat hooks behind my front entry. These zip ties are essential to holding this mess together. I just wish there were more included. 30 of them wasn’t really enough for me to feel like it could withstand my toddler using it. Luckily, I had more of them kicking around.Because I didn’t ever intend to have this sitting on the floor, I took to extra measures to secure it to my wall. I stuck the wall mounts where I needed them, then drove nails in through the holes in the mounts. Then I threaded a light gauge wire through the brackets and then through the panel frames. I added bumpers (the sticky foam pad kind you would usually use to pad the bottom of table legs) to keep the rack from flapping against the wall then carefully tapped a few plastic staples (the kind you’d use to anchor dangling electrical cords to walls) to hold the rack to the wall in a few extra places. Seems solid and secure enough now, but only time will tell.A couple more things to note:1. Fits more shoes per cube than I expected; I could just fit my worn in, mens size 15 (US sizing ) loafers and a pair of foam sandals one cube, and I really hadn’t expected those enormous shoes to fit at all. My wife (size 10 in US women’s), and my 13 year old (size 7 US women’s) can each fit three pairs, and my three year old has 4 pairs in her cube.2. Though I only assembled 4 of the six cubes, I’m grateful I ordered the largest rack; I have a feeling I’m going to need “spare” parts in the near future.3. It really does fit behind my door4. My shoe chaos is contained and looks so much better!5. Boots don’t fit at all. My teen adores platform boots and they absolutely don’t fit into the bins. They’re getting stashed in our closet I guess.I hope this holds up, because despite the obvious negatives, it sure does make my entire foyer area look tidy an uncluttered.

Functional space saver.
This shoe organizer is an excellent space saver for a narrow location. It fits perfectly between my closet door and the trim and maximizes vertical wall space without taking up floor area. Most of my shoes fit in it, but ankle length boots do cause the door to stay slightly open.Making sure the fasteners were fully inserted during assembly was occasionally a challenge, but the organizer went together fairly quickly. I was worried about how the vinyl material the shelves are made from would hold up over time. I've been impressed with its durability so far. While it is perfect for closet storage and organization, the design is extremely functional. That being said, I would highly recommend fastening it to the wall with the provided materials. Mine is organized with the six containers arranged vertically.

Not Bad
I bought my first set last year and another set a few days ago. I have had no issues in the past year. to the point another made, there were no directions so if you struggle to put things together it's going to be rough. I however found the construction to be rather intuitive and put it together in about 30 minutes. The construction is similar to clicking legos so I'm not sure how over time other reviewers have broken or non-functional pieces. They literally just pop back into place.

Great for small rooms
I am a college student and this is perfect for my apartment, If you have a small room and need more space this is a great alternative. I noticed that my shoes were taking up a lot of space in my closest so I decided to try this and it was small enough to fit in the space between my door and wall!

Great! A couple small flaws but worked for my need!
I was looking for an organizer for my Freebird Shoe collection. If you’ve never heard of Freebird boots & shoes - you NEED to get a pair! I looked everywhere for a shoe rack that would accommodate my boots of different sizes. My shoes are also all different heights. I came across this - and I created my own design for my needs. A couple small flaws - first you will need to cut the corners on the plastic shelf liners. Not a big deal. Second - the clips for the mid shelves are white and quite an eye sore. I plan on coloring mine black with a sharpie. Changing these to black would greatly improve the look overall if the company fixed this. I was also short about 6 black round clips for my design. I emailed the company and they promptly sent me the clips I needed! Thank you! The manufacturer pictures must have kids shoes on them for as you can see from my personal photos… there was no way I would be able to place the shoes side by side facing the same way. I don’t mind though because my shoes have intricate details on the back of them and this helps me select colors and design to go better with my outfits. I also bought some plastic boot sleeves off Amazon to shape the boots straight up. You can also see these in the picture. Overall - I’m very pleased with the purchase and its a great shoe rack for boot lovers!I would not recommend these shelves for kids items… like as a kids toy organizer or book shelves… they are fine for adults but children would be knocking them over all the time. 👍🏻
