Color is way off. When you are looking for a hat to wear outdoors in the summer the lighter the better when it comes to color. This one is a very dark probably 4 shades darker than it should be.... the photo is probably close to a Pantone 15-1216... but what we received is much closer to 17-1019... So honestly while I don't expect an exact match to the color of a product I don't expect it to be that much darker than it is supposed to be.Other issue is the hat arrived flat as a pancake... now the box it cam in was big enough for it to have been sent in the appropriate shape but for whatever reason they sent it flat and now I have no idea how to get it to take back any of its shape on the crown.It is cheap, but honestly I wouldn't' recommend it for those two reason.

Great hat at this price - it's nice and light but the top is stiff which keeps it in place nicely. Based on measurement sizes I would probably go to a medium if you're head is 22" round (even though some size comparisons say large.Really like the fact that you can snap up one side or both - very cool. Can't wait to use it on my trip to South Africa.

I've had this hat for well over 1 yr and is still holding up.I took me a while on getting used to it i though i looked goofy which it did, but hey its well worth the investment.Not only does it keep your head protected but also your neck. The only negative would be pick a different color i went with light brownwhich after sweating a while the hat would get dirt build up on the sweat stains.I would recommenced the hat but if you plan on wearing for a couple hours a day pick a darker color to hide the sweat stains.

Bought the item in the size i thought that would fit and what do you know, it fits perfectly!Hat is lightweight, and yet at the same time has a strap for tightening if you don't feel it's snug enough.Everybody should have some type of Boonie hat for the outdoors activities in life and this one doesn't fail to exceed my expectations.Great color, great durable material, breathable cloth and decently priced. No complaints.Would buy again in the future and recommend to all my friends who are very outdoorsy.

The brim seems to be stiff enough, and the string is plenty long. XL was too small. It might be XL in China. Tan, black and brown "Desert Camo" looks more like coral orange and dark brown. The black and dark brown look almost the same. Not worth the effort and cost to return it. I guess the lesson is to go where I can see, and try on before buying.

I love the hat, it's works wonderfully well. I got the large and it's snug on my noggin. If I had a rope tape measure handy I would tell you how large my head is, but I don't. The material is really nice. It's thick and durable. The snaps on the sides were a little off on mine, not allowing it to fold up to the sides evenly, I'm assuming some worker just make a silly error and punched the rivet in a bad place. I don't usually put the sides up anyway, but it's a good hat. Just go with a size bigger than what you think you need is my only suggestion.

This hat is dorky looking but it's exactly what I needed to protect the back of my neck and the top of my ears from sunburn. Those are the first places I get sunburned and the most sensitive. As I get older my skin is more sensitive to the sun. I've already had surgery to remove a couple of skin cancers and I need to be extra careful in the sun. This hat gives me the protection I need. The material is thick and my head sweats when I'm wearing it but I'd rather sweat than burn. This hat is well made and should last a long time. I do not recommend washing it in a washing machine as it will shrink and the brim will lose it's shape and stiffness. For best results wash by hand and lay it flat to dry. No animals were harmed during the manufacturing of this hat.

For the price, it's a good hat. Material is cotton/canvas material and it's as thick as say a baseball cap.. The flap covers the neck pretty well too (no more sunblock on my neck!). It does get warm on hot days (non-mesh top)... Note: the brim will SHRINK about 30% if you wash it in a washer with warm/hot water! And also as usual with washing, the brim is now less stiff... So if you want to brim to stay it's original size, do not wash with a washing machine. I don't mind the brim being flappy so it's fine for me.
