If God Exists, It'd be proud of this book...
Ah-mazing. Just plain beautiful. It solves all the important questions of the OB show (scientific ones and some regarding inspiration points (e.g. the written works that were used for the titles of all seasons episodes), it doesn't go too deep into ethics, though), plus it's challeging enough of us, illeterates of biology.Chapter one and two were exquisite. Definitely worth reading more than once. I'll rewatch the show after this. :vWhat We Talk About When Talk About Clone Club is also a very good choice for the fans (though this one deals equally with the science and ethics) and for science enthusiasts.********* Second Reading: So effing good. I enjoyed this one again...

Brilliant Book
This book adds so much depth to the Orphan Black TV series. It very much helped me make sense of the changes in focus from season to season - for example, now I understand the season long journey into Brightborn. Now I see where gene editing fits into the whole. Now I understand how the children of the clones could have accelerated healing powers. And so much more. The writers don't dumb the science down. They use accurate vocabulary to explain all the concepts. The writing style is accessible and easy to follow, even when the science is complex. The book covers everything about science in Orphan Black with real examples, historical references, and specific examples involving characters in the story.Certain lines from the script, certain conversations, were used to explain in depth what was happening. A sentence from Cosima or a remark by Scott or Susan Duncan could result in pages of information about what it meant. I really liked how the words of the characters were used to drive the book.Another nice feature was the photographs of the characters. There's a great glossary. The timeline at the end shows real science through the years with plot points from Orphan Black next to the corresponding scientific events and breakthroughs.I'll probably refer to the book again and again, because I'm going to watch all 5 seasons of Orphan Black again armed with my new knowledge and understanding of what's going on.This review will be posted under my real name, but in my enthusiasm for Orphan Black I'm known as Old Ain't Dead, where I've written about the TV series.

Must-Have for Orphan Black Fans
I devoured this book. It's full of detailed and in-depth scientific explanations. The authors clearly know what they're talking about; as they are both avid fans and science experts. There's even an interview portion with Cosima Herter and Graeme Manson; which is another fun and informative addition. The book walks you through all of the science that could've went over your head and answers all the questions you might've had about the show. The revelations blew my mind and gave me a greater understanding of my favorite show. I absolutely loved every word of it. You won't regret this purchase, it's totally worth every penny.

Clever and thoughtful
A clever look at deeper issues in the series. Why don't the Ledas resemble Kendall? How are the clones different? What kind of research did the creators do? WIth loads of first-person interviews with the two producers and the real Cosima, this fan guide reveals all the best "making of" tidbits from concept to conclusion.

I couldn't put this book down!
I couldn't put this book down. It's very technical, giving the reader a firm education in biology, medicine, "neolution" and, of course, cloning. It also educates the reader on some of the character's medical and psychological flaws, i.e. comparing Cosima's clone disease to real-life disorders, explaining Beth's chronic substance abuse addiction, Helena's psychosis and what affect using testosterone injections could have have on Tony's potential development of the clone disease. The book even talked about scientific theories behind Kira's "gift" and Charlotte's illness and just what did that pencil do to Rachel's brain. You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely LOVE it
I'm so hooked to this book. First of all I have a small background in science (3 years in biotechnologies and 3 years in biomedical) so I suppose I'd understand this book maybe more than someone who didn't do science before.I absolutely love to read scientific stuff that we can actually see with the tv show (and I absolutely LOVED the whole series). I've learned alot through the book and it encouraged me to find more reading about genetics and molecular biology.

A must-read for Orphan Black fans
They dumb down the science into easy-to-understand concepts and the overall book is really useful in understanding the show! It made me appreciate the show even more, and I read it while I'm watching so I can follow along :)
