Salve (50 Gram Salicylic Acid Coal Tar Psoriasis Topical Formula - Pack of 2

I've only had this a few days, maybe 3-4. I hate putting on gloves and I use "finger cots" instead. I hate having greasy fingers and having to work hard all day to try and keep from touching anything. What a mess. the cots solve this problem. I go to a dermatologist and have been using many different creams, lotions, emulsions, and clobetasol proportionate cream on my hands. I have psoriasis out breaks on the back top of my head also. I can't believe how this cream has outdone all the prescriptions I've got around here. Been dealing with this for about more than 16 years and this has worked faster than any tried before. The clobetasol doesn't work as well anymore. Maybe I'm getting immune to it. The improvement in the 3-4 days I've been using this cream on my hands is absolutely amazing. No matter what you use, it's going to take time for healing. It's not an overnight thing. But I have went from looking like someone took an axe to my hands (including bleed cuts and large crusty hardened dead skin leaves and the resulting pain) to no pain, the leaves are mostly gone, my fingers are feeling softer and more human, and the cuts are pretty much healed and it's not nearly noticeable if someone isn't looking directly at my hands. I feel much better. And, I'm not having to follow around myself wiping cream off of everything I touch because of the cots. With this cream and the cots my hands do not feel hot and greasy, and I can do a limited amount of touching. With the cots, the cream stays on and inside the cots. I recommend that if you're a newbie to psoriasis and your fingers are involved, you get some cots which they sell right here on Amazon. Might as well go with a bulk buy as this stuff is never going to leave totally. It will keep reappearing and you'll be fighting this the rest of your life. And, I'd get some of this cream too... I am at home more days than not and I put this cream on my head when I'm sure I'm not going back out. I then shower and wash my hair an hour or so later. First, I use regular soap and then the prescription shampoo to get this medication out. It has the look and almost the thickness of Vaseline... close, but no odor. The ingredients, coal tar and salicylic acid, are the best OTC medications for psoriasis from my experience. Very few creams have both, very few are this thick and easy to apply and have a stick-to-it-ness that more efficiently demonstrates staying power. I believe I've tried everything available and spent hundreds of dollars. This cream, in my opinion has worked best. Otherwise, I couldn't do this review just three days after I started using it. My elbows, despite two different prescription creams, were scaly and unsightly with psoriasis. This product started working within days, and approximately one month later, I feel good about wearing short sleeves again!

I've struggled with a patch on my elbow for a few years now. I applied to my elbow and the scaly skin has all but dissapeared. Hopefully it will continue. I'm sure to apply about 4 times daily. Hopes are high. So far I'm amazed at the results. A great product for the price.

The instructions say "keep cap always closed." There is not a cap... look at the picture. Just an aluminum or tin foil cover with a plastic cover underneath. If this works, I'll give a better review, but I'm very disappointed with the packaging.

I have rough flaky dead skin on my elbows and this stuff smoothed them out it's looking normal after 2 applications and it smells nice too I like it

Expected to love this. But there are no active ingredients, just smells, looks, and acts like small chunks of wax and petroleum jelly sort of mixed together. Hoping amazon will refund as defective. Trying TriDerma next.

The media could not be loaded. I got a huge discount on this probably because the expiration date was very near. I got 6 big 16.2oz jars for $7 a piece. The combination of coal tar and salicylic acid is the best cure for me, it seems. I’m combining Cutar, this one and CompoundW for the most stubborn patches and I’m about a month I got my full body cleared. I’m not a total fan of Cosalic’s consistency and smell, but decent and bearable, even though because of high paraffin content my skin is feeling a bit sticky.

This product is the only thing I could find to help clear up my Psoriasis. After the first few days I noticed the littler spots to be almost cleared up and bigger ones shrinking in size and less scales. We continue to use it that is for sure !!! Now to find something that works this good on my head

Anyone looking to buy this for a cure will be disappointed. It is not a cure. However, this doesn't mean that this is not a good product. I have two bigger sections of Psoriasis on my knee's and two smaller sections on my elbows and one on my back. The sections on my knee's were particularly severe and I suffered with extreme thickening of the skin which was often itchy and sometimes painful. If I knocked them playing sport they would bleed and not stop for hours. But w week or so after starting to use this cream I found that the white, thicker skin was simply peeling away with ease. It was literally peeling off on big sections. This process continued for a week or so until the thick scaling had completely gone. Then I had dark pink patches which although still visible are not at all uncomfortable and do not itch, hurt or bleed easily. Been using this for couple of months now and the dark pink patches have now become light pink patches and now only noticeable at close range. Overnight the patches dry again and when I wake they are dry and just a very small build up of skin but I just shower and use the cream again. My Psoriasis now is as good as it has been since it first started. I wasn't expecting a cure and so I use this cream to control it and for that I have to give it five stars as it does the job so well. I also take Vitamin D tablets and have also been recently referred to Turmeric tablets which boost immunity. I have been told that Psoriasis can only be cured from the inside and not with external creams. But Cosalic will get your Psoriasis under control while you try to do this with supplementary or dietry solutions. If you do suffer I would urge you to try this as it has been so good for me and the only cream that has ever worked with a real success.

I was pleased that this product doesn’t smell like most coal tar products. It has a mixture of ingredients and is also moisturizing. So far working better than other psoriasis products I’ve tried. Shipping was from India but only took a couple weeks . Came very well packed in lots of bubble wrap but still had a crack at the bottom seam. Nothing leaking out though because cream is thick. This would be due to the way Canada Post handles packages, shipper had it well packed. Highly recommend this product

Well, I think this item is working for me. I hope to finish the whole treatment to ensure it meets my needs.
