DOZYANT 3/8 Inch Natural Gas Quick Connect Fittings, LP Gas Propane Hose Quick Disconnect Kit, 3/8'' Male NPT Thread x 3/8'' Female NPT Thread

I bought a set of these so I could connect a small generator to natural gas. The kit comes with a female and male quick connects and a 3/8 male-to-male brass coupler. (Note: the variant of this listing called "Quick Adapter" only comes with the female connector. Make sure you order the "Hose Kit Set" if you need both pieces. The male piece by itself is not available for sale.)The threads are NPT (tapered) and appear to be well machined. I used gas-rated thread seal tape for the connections, and have had no issues with them leaking. After installing the female end, I pressure tested the gas line with 12 psi air for an hour, and the needle on the gauge held steady the whole time, confirming that the whole thing is leak-free.Depending on your local building codes, a separate shut off valve before the quick connect may or may not be required. I installed one of these Mueller 110-223C Forged Brass Two-Piece Body Gas Ball Valve, 1/2-Inch just before it, as an extra safety measure.These are high quality fittings that I expect to last a long time, even outdoors. The silicone cover is a nice touch, to keep dirt out of the internals. I would recommend this fitting if you're installing a grill or generator hookup outside.

This worked as advertised. It is being used as a gas disconnect for the portal generator. Working great.

I use this to connect a small LP heater in a 12x16 shed. Makes switching out tanks easy. Good quality, no leaks and exactly as described.

Good fit and value

I used this to add a quick connect for a generator to an existing 1/2” threaded gas pipe. I used putty to keep the connection sealed but other than that extra step this thing was super easy to install. Quick connector feels very strong and is easy to handle. Cap is solid and inserts with just the right amount of force to keep it in there. Happy with the purchase. Good value.

Using this for the natural gas hookup of a Champion 100416 Tri-fuel portable generator. It works great except I had to buy an adapter for the gas hose included with the generator. It has a 1/2" female flare connector. So you need either a 1/2" male flare to 1/2" FIP adapter, or a 1/2" FIP coupling if you use the Champion provided flare to MIP adapter. Downgrading one star because you need to get a dust cap for the male connection (use 3/8 size for that instead of 1/2.)
