Not what I expected
I thought this was a book of all natural wild plants you could go out and pick yourself, with pictures and uses. It does have names of plants and herbs with recipes, but only some have their uses, and very few pictures of what the plant looks like. So I guess you have to buy your material already dried from an herbalist. Also mentioned some recommendations from the CDC, when that agency is who I’m getting away from 😂

Pretty good book on herbalism
I have read several books on the herbal wisdom of Native Americans, and this book is pretty good. One book looks at the connection Native American tribes have with the Earth and the things that grow there. So, establishing that background was interesting to read about. Book 2 looks at the properties of the different herbs and what they can be used for. One book looks at what herbs are safe for children to use. THat is so important because not all herbs are safe for every age. The final book looks at different recipes to make teas or salves with the herbs. This is the practical portion of the book. Overall, I thought the info presented was thorough, I just would have liked to see some storage info for the different herbs.

Herbal medicine from Native Americans
This is a great book for anyone who is wanting to learn more about using herbs as their medicine. There is a lot of great information from harvesting herbs if you are growing them to recipes for things like teas and tinctures. The great thing about herbs is that you don't have to worry about really any negative side effects.

huge text but very organized
the text contains a considerable amount of information but is really organized. specifically designed to be consulted when necessary, it is an excellent encyclopedia of native American herbs, for each of which it contains a lot of detailed information. it is certainly a text that required a lot of preliminary work, with well-prepared authors, to be produced.

Native american herbalist's bible
For the historical period we are living in, getting as close to nature as possible would be very useful. So I am trying to understand, through these readings, how to go about taking care of myself through nature. So understand the various flowers, the various plants, what they can be used for, be as harmonious as possible, how to keep yourself in peace. So this book is helping me to do just that, to reconnect with nature. It was a very interesting, formative reading, and one that brings peace and harmony as you read it. I absolutely recommend!

Great book
The books contain a lot of information on the properties of a wide variety of plants. Virtually all plants from the American territory are mentioned. Recognising, harvesting, drying and preparing remedies for a wide variety of minor ailments or injuries will no longer be a problem. I find these four books, written with loving care and are in some ways a legacy to future generations. Beautiful and interesting

Native american herbalist's bible
Since ancient times herbalism has been an integral part of the medicinal world for curing diseases, including mild fever, cold, cough and flu to severe infections and allergies. Native Americans still believe in these traditional herbal tactics, but now most of the population is incorporating modern medicines into their conventional health treatment mechanisms.Native American medicine addresses the healing of the whole person and therefore uses the comprehensive approach to healing and cure.Herbalists prefer to use extracts from sections of plants, such as the leaves or roots, assuming that plants are sensitive to natural stresses and therefore establish tolerance to hazards such as reactive oxygen species, microbial attack, and radiations, offering protective phytochemicals for use in herbalism.
