This Rich-Field 4.5 Inch Newtonian Reflector Telescope boasts a short 500mm focal length and, as a result, packs a super-fast F/4.4 F-ratio, making it an extremely powerful instrument for wide-field and deep space astronomy. With its tremendous light-gathering power, you can observe fabulous nebulae, galaxies, binary star systems, and most of the famed deep space Messier objects in dark skies. You can see outstanding detail when viewing the Moon, and you'll spot the Rings of Saturn and the Moons of Jupiter. This package comes with adjustable full-sized aluminum tripod with a built-in accessory tray. The Equatorial Mount can be polar aligned to track the movements of stars and planets. Thanks to precision worm gears and a substantial counter weight, the telescope can be balanced so that the slightest finger touch turn of the flexi cables will move the telescope with a smooth, steady motion. The film solar filter that comes in this package fits easily over the end of your telescope. Observe the sun from behind the protection of this .002" filter, which blocks 99.999% of sunlight and has a ND5 rating. Two medium power 1.25" diameter Plossl eyepieces (25mm & 10mm) and a Barlow 2x lens are included. Additional 1.25" eyepieces are available. Also included is a dust-free cleaning cloth, a map of the surface of the moon, a glare-reducing moon filter, and a poster of the solar system. All reflector telescopes show an upside-down image, so we recommend an optional erector eyepiece for nature and landscape viewing.
