First impression from a weekend warrior.
Granted, I just bought this and don't have days of experience with it, much less years of service to look back on, but this apron seems like it will be with me a long time.As to details, it provides good coverage. I'm a tall guy and it covers most of the front of my body, length-wise from mid-chest to my knees with the neck loop fully-extended. It is wide enough to cover my sides as well. They use single-stitching and the thread seems to be just thick enough to have been able to sew this material together so it is sufficient. If you like lots of pockets, this probably won't light your world on fire. Personally, my tools are all near at hand and the three pockets it has are more than sufficient. They will probably end up holding more sawdust or metal filings than tools in my shop. The one thing I wish it had was a hammer loop. The waxed canvas feels solid and it is stiff from the start - it will stand up by itself right out of the box. I expect it to relax over time but the material is sturdy and thick; I don't think I'll have to take it off when I weld or grind and it will probably provide some pretty good armor if something slips off of the grinding or buffing machines or gets kicked back by a saw.All-in-all, this piece looks good and the material is solid. We will see how the build-quality holds up over time but as a weekend warrior, I expect it to fit my bill just fine. I've seen some aprons with more attention to the build but they have been significantly more expensive and not worth the price for what I need.

Great apron if you replace the neck strap
The apron itself is well-made, durable with roomy pockets. The only issue I have is that all the weight of the apron and whatever you carry in the pockets rests on the back of your neck - ended up rubbing the back of my neck raw. I replaced the straps with the Dickies apron suspenders which really helps redistribute the weight to your shoulders. It was an unexpected additional expense that I hope can be incorporated into future designs.

I'm surprised at how much I like an apron
I'm surprised at how much I like an apron, of all things. I ordered this after buying a lathe, which increased my ability to cover myself in wood chips to a whole new level. By opting for the apron I have avoid the safety risks of long sleeves, with enough coverage to keep myself presentable. The canvas is sturdy, perhaps a bit rigid out of the box, but definitely durable. Plenty of length in the waist tie, and easy to adjust the neck. I keep it loose to get it over my earphones/face mask/etc. and then with one hand can cinch it back up to keep myself covered. As a personal preference I don't tend to really load up the pockets, though they are plenty roomy. For me, it's mostly a place to stick a pencil, knife and measuring tape. It's a great upgrade over the old method of randomly putting them down, then spinning around trying to find them again.Yeah, it costs more than the $12 cheap ones, but it's better. If I did a lot of painting and knew I would just muck it up really fast maybe I'd go that route, but for a wood shop this a nice upgrade.

Apron is great, straps need some work.
I like the apron, it isn't extremely heavy but still pretty thick and protective. It comes out of the box quite stiff. I don't know the proper method to care for or break it in, but what I did was to ball it up and smash the ball down by pushing my knee into it a dozen times or so. Out of the box, it doesn't have any of the wrinkles in the product picture that gives it that distressed look. After smashing mine up a bit, it looks like it now. It's also more pliable and forms to my body better. The only other complaint is that the neckband is pretty uncomfortable, but that's not unusual for that type of strap on an apron (cross back style is better) I may get a fabric ripper and pull out the straps, and then replace them with grommets and make it cross back(Another reviewer switched to suspenders, which also works). It would also be simple to get some kind of padding for the neck, like a smaller messenger bag strap pad.

A good work apron that’s quite tough and works well
This is a great work apron, and it’s very tough too. This heavy canvas apron is rather heavier in weight compared to a more typical thin-canvas/material, but my only complaint is the neck strap needs some padding or at least something more than just a heavy canvas-like strap around the back of your neck. I usually wrap a towel around it for better padding on my neck, which also allows me to wash it too. The apron has taken a lot of punishment as I’ve seen it take sparks from grinding, sharp objects from sharpening stuff, paint splashes, etc. I would buy this apron again if I should need to in the near future. A great tool for protection of oneself while working on difficult tasks.

I like this apron well enough to keep it
I like this apron well enough to keep it, but I dinged it one star for a couple of reasons. First, it is VERY stiff! Second, when I tried to soften it up by tumbling it in a clothes dryer with a pair of sneakers and a couple of towels, with no heat, the banging around wore off the coloring in random streaks. It now looks like it was tie-dyed. I don't especially care that it looks that way, but still...if it hadn't been so darned stiff, I would not have felt the need to try to soften it up, and I would not have experienced the discoloration. Otherwise, I like its features and how it fits, and I expect to get a lot of years of use out of it.

Very handy and keeps you clean.
This is a very handy apron and didn't realize how helpful it could be. I didn't know I used my center punch enough to keep it on my person. It helped point out which were my go to tools. It's a little more stiff than I imagined. I'd doesn't necessarily effect it's use, but it'll stick straight out from my hips after I stand up from squatting to pick something up.I keep my speed square in the right pocket, and after a couple weeks it started to poke through the stitching. It wasn't much and now I keep it on the other side, we'll see how it goes over there.Overall, I'm satisfied and it absolutely cuts down on time spent searching for a pencil. Also, keeping wood glue off my clothes is worth it enough.
