GENUINE YAMAHA FLYWHEEL ROTOR

I bought one of the cheaper knock off versions of one of these and it didn't even fit into the bike. This one fit's perfectly, about a 10 minute job to complete. I wish I would have bought this one the first time.

If you haven't replaced it, DO IT! This stator is not cheap, but then it will cost more to fish the magnets in the engine if the original fails on you. As for the gasket, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE (see the link below). This is better than the original ones that came with the 2006 R1 with the magnets ‘glued’ on the circle of the flywheel.

I installed this on my bike and after using the bike three times for about an hour each time, it burned the alternator coil. Not a good experience !

It works as it should, it's the upgraded part from Yamaha, that encased the magnets instead of just gluing them in.
