Easy to install and good quality. All I needed it for was to light up my work desk area, and it does that just fine. I recommend for anyone who doesn't need anything fancy but not cheap looking.

Wouldn't call the fixture heavy duty, but if it's mounted out of the way, it should last a lifetime.Hardwired mine, well above, a kitchen sink to provide a little extra light. Works well there because it can be, somewhat, adjusted to put the light in the right place, and importantly, to only put the light there, because the shade comes down to cover the bulb. So, no light in your eyes.I think this fixture is best for a smaller LED bulb, because it does trap some heat because of the larger shade. I think what I have in there is a 8 watt/40 watt equivalent (something on that order) bulb, and that's just fine as it only warms the fixture a bit, say 80 degrees Fahrenheit which is insignificant as far as heat goes. I wouldn't put an incandescent or powerful LED bulb in this fixture. Can't speak to the finish, the painted metal, as I've only had it installed for a couple of months, but it seems fine and should do unless the environment is very humid consistently.As to the 'industrial' adjective in the description of the fixture, there is nothing industrial about it, it's just a light duty fixture, with a utilitarian look. Nothing wrong with that.

Perfect for my needs. The only issue I had was getting the screws heads the right distance from the wall.
