This is the 2nd tripod I've purchased here on Amazon over the past couple of months, and the 2nd review I have written of this exact nature.I bought this product because I can't seem to find any of the dependable Dynex brand tripods that aren't sold by third party sellers. The reason I am picky is because I needed a tripod that is compatible with a standard, universal, quick release plate. The reviews were mixed but leaned toward the fact that this tripod would work with universal quick release plates. It absolutely does not. I have a pile of universal quick releases that I use when necessary and not a single one will fit this tripod. I'm pretty bent about it so I'm writing this review to warn people ahead of time before purchasing this tripod. It's not useless to me because the tripod, itself, is fully functional. However, my biggest concern right now is losing that 1 single piece that will render this entire unit defunct. Thanks a bunch to the seller for making sure the answer to this highly asked question remains a mystery to potential buyers. A quick tip from a disappointed buyer? Add some info on where buyers can purchase extra quick release plates for this tripod. Dynex used to give buyers 2 quick release plates per tripod purchase. The least this brand could do, if it's not going to supply buyers with an additional quick release plate, is to inform us of where we can purchase extras.

You got a lot for what you pay for in this package.Quite a few adjusting options for the camera plate, allowing you to tilt and swivel in three ways. The standard screw mount will accept most cameras and camcorders, and the quick detach plate is nice for mounting your device. Huge amount of adjustables for camera height. Extendable legs mean that you can set an immediate height for the camera; however its the adjustable centre column that really make this tripod stand out. Using a rotating handle, you can adjust the height of your device on the fly, which has some really handy applications for filming. While I do feel like the handle itself could be slightly more robust, the column adjusts quite fluidly and with little resistance.Storage is a breeze with this tripod, with the articles all collapsing into their original compartments very easily. A handle is mounted on the side of the tripod for convenient carrying, and a hook is mounted on its underside for hanging. The tripod also comes with a nice vinyl carrying case - useful for bringing it around. Weight wise is pretty average for tripods, nothing heavy, but definitely more suited group shots at a party or a special occasion.For an entry level tripod, it offers a lot of features that beginners will use - and I think that makes this a very attractive product.

This is professional three way head aluminum tripod. It have a level meter, angle lock system and non-slip mats at every leg. This hold perfectly and stable for my camera. A handy holder at the side that helps folding this tripod easier and with the package a black cover bag is perfect for long trip carrying. Satisfied

Okey so this is a great tripod for the price , suuuuper light .. If your only gonna have 1 tripod tho i woudlnt recommend it in the sense that its plastic.. Like not feeling like the ultra solid plastic .. Would i put over 6k worth of gear and lenses on it and turn arround for a min? No.. Still a great tripod for lower priced gear , im really happy with it for the price ... I definitely recommend if you need a super light tripod to run around with or if your planning to stay 100% of the time behind it. Or for a small dslr and gopros to get some "other angles shots".still a super great tripod for 40$ but like i said if you need "1" tripod pay over 100$ for it

Item is as described. Its a lightweight travel tripod. Lightweight. I was looking for something that wasn't too heavy for travel purposes and this is perfect. Obviously you can't handle it like a touch heavy duty tripod but for the price and weight of it, its great. If handled with care, I'm sure it will last for quite some time. I was satisfied with not only the tripod but also the delivery time.

My son likes this tripod because it is light and easy to carry around. The materials are very strong with good quality. The height is adjustable based on your preferences and need. It also comes with a bag so it is so convenient. Overall, it is good to have it!

It's not a professional tripod, but it should be ok for a beginner to intermediate. Lighter and shorter than my old one which died after 30 years.Lots of cheap plastic; I hope it holds out. I definitely don't think it's worth $50.
