For Mom or Dad! And, bite size reads.
I have gifted this at least 10 times so far amd I have a copy myself. Even with my kids being teens and up I still benefit. Each day is a quick paragraph or three. Bite size notes to think about and act on. Love this book!

Great gift for a dad
My husband kept seeing this posted, and was interested so I purchased for him. He now reads chapter a morning to start his day. They are short, easy reads but deliver an impactful message. This is a great book for a new dad or even a seasoned father to reference. It has a great cover, and looks nice on the bedside. This is a great book, highly recommend!

A Manual for Preparing Kids to Thrive
As an early childhood educator I recommend this book to both parents and early childhood educators.Ryan Holiday presents keys to preparing kids to thrive in a world where so many struggle simply to survive. Here are a few key insights:Whether parents, educators, or caregivers we must understand it's not about us. It's about them.We must be fully present with them not simply physically present.Behaviors that we have problems with are symptoms of needs they need met.Love is the bottom line working with kids and this book explains the many benefits.

Decent with some good insights, but doesn’t measure up to Daily Stoic.
So I’ve been reading through the Daily Dad since it was received, and also skipping around checking some future dates out as well. Ryan’s books are always pretty good and this is no exception. While there is a lot of great insight in this book, it definitely feels like there is some more “filler” and doesn’t measure up to the Daily Stoic. This is still definitely worth trying out for yourself though. Worst thing about this book is how they got rid of the built-in bookmark. That is extremely helpful with daily Stoic. Not sure why they did not include that with this printing.

Not just for Dad’s
Every household should have this! Love that it is by day of the year. If you get behind and are short on time just go today. You will miss some days. No problem you will catch another year. Use this as the kids grow up and beyond. We are empty nesters and we still get reminded of things that how we react helps our grown kids. Write in it…add your good experiences to explain how you handle or should have handled a situation.

Dad is not just a title, it's a responsibility towards raising a responsible child
Some books are read and forgotten and there are some books that are to be read and digested.'The Daily Dad' is one of those rare books that fall under the latter category.A lot of people have kids but not all are able to become parents. When you give birth to a child, you become a mom or a sad and for most of us it ends there. You may all the right intentions for your child but by just providing basic necessities is not being a parent.I've witnessed parents forwarding unnecessary messages and reels on WhatsApp but not investing time to seek resources on learning how to become an ideal Mom or an ideal Dad.It's easy to blame the education system, it's easy to blame the society, it's easy to blame the social media for corrupting the child's mind. But it's tough to stand up and take responsibility as a dad for the right upbringing of your child. You cannot stop your child from engaging with content on social media, but you sure can raise them to become responsible towards what they choose to watch on social media. Most parents think that after getting their child admitted in school and by paying the school fees their responsibility is over. Now it's the school's responsibility to teach their child. They get busy with their own lives and the child gets busy with his own life. While schools play an important role in the development of a child, it's the right parenting that provides the strong foundation on which a child builds his life. That's why this book is a must have for every parent or to be parent or anybody whose job involves interacting with kids. This book - The Daily Dad - brings to you 366 very short chapters that will open up your perspective towards the role you can play in your child's upbringing.Packed with daily reminders, approaches to situations, mindsets, and actionable, this book will handhold you in your journey to create an impact on your child raising him to be ready to face the world. The chapter starts from January, 1 and ends at December, 31. Each day you get to read a new idea, a story from the lives of successful parents that you can adapt to as you play dad to your little ones.Don't try to read the book like any other non fiction books. Read it one chapter at a time. Whichever month of the year you have bought the book, just start from the chapter corresponding to your present date and month. You need not start from January.Alternately, you can also randomly open any page and read that chapter. Each chapter is complete in itself. If you want to maximize the learning, just create actionable that you can follow based on the chapter you have read. Do that actionable and see what results you get.Don't put pressure on yourself to read a page everyday. Finishing off the book should not be your goal with this book. What is important is making the teachings work for you.It is said that in order to teach a child first you have to learn from the child. Be actively involved in the lives of your children. Learn from them to guide them, to help them realise their potential.Parenting doesn't happen automatically, be a responsible dad.And let this book be your guide in this journey.
