HD Game Capture EZCap Video Capture (A Chinese Product)
Ok, here we go. This device allows you to record your gameplay from your PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii-U in 1080p and it looks nice. That's what you'd expect because that's what you bought the thing for! Now keep that in mind before you buy it because I'm going to explain the other things BEFORE you buy it so you can make an informed decision. It records video onto a device plugged into its USB port (Which means you need to plug a USB device into the port.) I used a 32GB flash drive but I'm sure you can use a 500GB external drive (Such as a WD My Book.) or higher (2 or 4TB). I have 500GB and 4TB external USB drives to use but to try it out (and I have 32, 64 and 128 Sandisk USB flash drives but decided to stay with the 32GB to try it out.) So. It records videos in 15 minute segments. (Like a dash cam records in 5 minute segments.) and a 15 minute video takes up 1.95 gigs of space. I don't think it will record longer segments (like a VCR, that is, it will record a whole segment 15 minutes, 45 minutes an hour etc until you press the button to stop recording.) So if it's your intention to record shows from HBO, Amazon video or Netflix thru your Xbox or Playstation this is not going to work. As a test I tried this (I'm not a pirate.) and got a message from these services that said "I'm not properly signed in and that there was a problem with the server and the video I was trying to watch couldn't be displayed." (There is, when you buy this item, a message from Amazon that "People who bought this also bought" A 2.0 HDMI cable...(It comes with a 6 inch HDMI cable but it's so short it's almost useless.) But that's all I'm going to say about that. So..You plug your console into this device using the HDMI ports. There is an input and an output (You go from the output on your console to the input on this device and the output from the device to your TV or Monitor.) There is also a YPBPR input to the device so you can use standard inputs which I found did not work properly. And there is the "documentation" that came with the device. Clearly this is a Chinese manufactured product as the documentation (In English) was full of spelling and grammatical errors. So you'll have to read it through at least three times to figure out what they're trying to convey to you in as far as the technical aspects and the way to use the device (LOL!)The last thing is it comes with an optical disc which is a 3 inch mini disc (which I found useless with my computer) that contains the "Video Editing Software" (Really?) This software can be described as "Rudimentary" at best. (You can download the software but be careful where you get it from as you risk installing Malware on your machine.) So that being said. Let the buyer beware now that you know and can make an informed decision.

Good system but needs a few improvements
I use this to capture television programs and store them on my thumb drive. I then transfer them to my computer for editing. I would like it to go straight to my computer and bypass the thumb drive though. When it stores the files on my computer it give them sequential numbered file names and doesn't let me rename it as it is recorded. There is a slight delay when I press the record button of about 1.5 seconds and about 3 seconds as the file closes when finished recording. The power cord started shorting out after a few months so that it would not power up. I cut out the bad portion of wire and replaced it.The good is that it makes an excellent quality recording and is simple to use when hooked up I have used it to make about 1300 recordings and it works flawlessly. It's very dependable.

I have just gotten mine. So far it works as intended. I records in 1080p and is truly a one button start. The only problem I do have is that it will separate videos up if it gets to long (I recorded around 30min. and it started a second video) but it does state this in the instructions so its not to bad. Also even though it says it takes up pretty 1.95gb per 15 minutes I got to record 30min for only 1.95gb. So you are able to get a good amount of recording done with not as much memory used. Another great thing is that you do not have to wait for the video to render and such, you can view it as soon as your done recording and hook up your hard drive or usb to the computer. Another problem I did have from time to time is that the video would sometimes randomly go out but only for a few seconds then return back on. Pretty decent capture card for the price.

Doesn't Record Voice When Using HDMI to Record Video
I would have given this 5 stars, because the video quality is excellent. It was also easy to set up. Very plug and play. However, you can't record your voice while using the HDMI port. You can only record voice while using the lesser video quality YPbPr port. I bought this so my son could record his WiiU games, and commentate while doing it, for his YouTube channel. With this device I would need to sacrifice video quality just to record his voice. Why would I want to do that? Also, Wii U comes with an HDMI option only, so I couldn't use the YPbPr port on the recording device even if I wanted to.We ended up fixing the problem by downloading a voice recording app to his phone, and then he presses the video start button and audio start button at the same time so they'll be in sync when he goes to edit. A bit of a pain, but a workable hack. It's not worth the $75 price tag. Maybe $55, but I would suggest that they fix this problem soon.

Stopped working.
This worked well out of the box. Was recording videos from Xbox to this. But, after using for a week, it then just stopped working. LED light would be on, but record button wouldn't work. Can't get working again. Nothing else has changed. I see others have had similar issue.UPDATE: Upon emailing the sellers with my problem... they actually responded that evening with some suggestions to get working again. I was successful getting to work again. First connected to old xbox 360 where it did work. When reconnected to Xbox1 it seemed to work, but only had 480 dimensions. Then in xbox 1 was able to manually set to HDMI and 1080p, and now all seems good. Lots of hoops to jump to get working, but when working it works well.

I have heard a lot of people complain about this box the truth is it's not bad when it faults just unplug it and plug it back in. It never faults during recording.
