Terrific Little Pot!
This thing is terrific!! Very well made. I like the design. It seems small, but actually holds plenty of solution. Delivery is spot perfect, not too fast, nor too slow. Angling the head is everything with this pot, but it’s an easy adjustment. I love that it’s porcelain, easy to clean and even just looks nice.I absolutely could NOT beat the price!! Get one!!

Himalayan Neti Pot really works - helped with my allergies!
I was put off by the term "Neti Pot" some how it sounded really strange. I had used a bulb syringe and Sinus Rinse kit to rinse my sinuses (my doctor had recommended I do this because I have allergies throughout the year and take medicine for this every day and still suffered form frequent sinus infections). I tried another ceramic Neti Pot but it seemed to waste as much water as much as went in my nose. YouTube had some videos of people using this (produced by the Himalayan Institute) and it certainly did not look like how it the other Neti pot worked for me. So I ordered this on Amazon and wow, it works just like the videos showed with almost no extra leakage and it was more comfortable and the water flow was nice and even unlike the other ceramic Neti Pot. Sinus rinsing has made a huge difference for me this year so much so that while others suffer a great deal around me I have been able to breathe easier and feel much better. I have recommended this to all of my friends and other allergy sufferers. For safety sake however use distilled or boiled water. Tap water may not be free of microscopic organisms that are destroyed in the boiling process. I now use this every day and think of it the same as brushing my teeth. It is a natural help especially with all of the pollen in the air this spring. I recommend the Himalayan Neti Pot if you looking for one to try out for the first time or if you have used other types (plastic, bottles with pumps, syringes, etc.). It is much better than anything else I have used and there are no extra parts to clean or keep up with. Great little product.

It can get addictive...
After reading a number of reviews around the web about the benefits of using a neti pot, I started shopping around my city. I mostly found plastic neti pots, which were flimsy and cheap-looking. I quickly realized that ceramic was the only way to go (wouldn't leak weird synthetic materials into the water, quicker drying, etc). The only ceramic neti pot around was at my local natural goods store, and it was sixty (!) dollars. So I turned my attention to Amazon. This neti pot was everything I wanted: ceramic, simple design, and priced very reasonably. It arrived at my house about 4 days after I ordered it, and I can say that I couldn't be happier with the results. It holds one cup of water - after adding 1/4 tsp of non-iodized salt, it is ready to go. It only took a moment for me to get over the strange feeling of your sinus cavity being filled with water (think dunking your head underwater and water goes up your nose). The results are amazing - after the first use, I could feel my sinuses clear and felt less resistance inhaling through my nose. I used it again last night before bed and even now, in the next afternoon, I can still feel the difference. I think this will soon become a part of my normal hygenic routine. NOTE: I did some reading and learned that you should only use either distilled water or water that has boiled for 5-7 minutes (and then cooled, obviously). Some users reported terrible infections using ordinary tap water, and having bacteria introduced into their sinuses... that said, if you're thinking about a neti pot, this is a great product.

Only Time Will Tell
I had heard about the benefits of nasal washing for years, but the idea of running water through my nose was not very appealing. I have a lot of allergies and suffer frequent sinusitis. After the last infection, I decided to order this neti pot. Frankly, I was a little nervous about using it the first time, but I screened the video a couple of times; read the directions over a few times; and, I finally did it. First I warmed eight ounces of distilled water. Then, I added a packet of the Arm & Hammer brand saline/baking soda mix. I stirred it well to make sure it was completely dissolved. Then, I used it. I believe I used it correctly. The thing that puzzles me is that nothing other than the water flowed out. I expected to see either some mucous or something else flow out. Not sure what to make of this. I plan to continue to use it daily to see if there is an improvement in my sinus health, but to be honest, I do not expect much of an improvement. I have a deviated septum to the left, so my sinus infections always begin on the left, and the neti pot cannot wash that far up in my sinuses, which is where the first signs of pain and excess mucous arise followed by an infection. I will update this review in a few days or a few weeks as I have more experience and am able to tell if nasal washing really helps someone like myself who has A LOT of allergies. I have had allergy testing done twice. The first time I used sublingual drops. I saw no improvement whatsoever in my sinus problems. A few years later I was retested. This time I took the weekly shots with a needle. Once again, I saw no improvement whatsoever. I have taken just about every anti-histamine on the market, including the nasal sprays. Only one ever worked to any degree, but if I took it (Rondec), I knew I had to be at home because it would knock me out. It is not even made in that old formulation any longer, and the new formulation does not work for me. The only thing that works for me once the sinusitis starts is prednisone. I sincerely hope this neti pot will help me so that I do not have any more sinusitis and have to take prednisone. Will update as I know more. For now, I am neutral. 13 December 14: Went to the park this afternoon. It was pretty windy. After I returned home, I began sneezing, so I know I came into contact with some tree pollens to which I am allergic. Third day I have used the Neti Pot, so I cannot say I see any difference so far. Will keep trying, but I have to say, if this thing could stop allergic reactions, then the big pharmaceutical companies could stop making anti-histamines altogether. I am really skeptical that this pot will make any difference to my sinus health. 24 December 14: I have been using this with warm, distilled water and the Arm & Hammer saline/baking soda packets once a day. In the mornings, I have not been as stuffed up as I usually used to be, but I cannot say if it due to the neti pot or if allergens are on the low side right now. Will continue to use and report back. Perhaps the biggest test will be next spring and autumn. A friend gave me a bottle of Alkalol to use with the neti pot. I have not tried it yet, but it has gotten some excellent reviews on Amazon. If I decide to try it, I will report my results. 03 January 15: I have been using this neti pot for a few weeks now, and although I did not see any improvement in my sinuses initially, I can now see a remarkable difference. I am not doing anything else differently, so I must attribute the improvement to nasal washing. I have been washing once per day at the end of the day, and in the mornings I no longer awaken with congestion, and I no longer awaken during the night from difficulty in breathing. I find I am blowing my nose a lot less during the day, too. I presume the nasal washing must be removing allergens that I inhale each day. I am very pleased. I wish I had started using a neti pot DECADES ago instead of all of the many anti-histamines, antibiotics, and decongestants. I could have saved myself a lot of suffering and money, and I wonder how my long term use of antihistamines and antibiotics have caused damage to my immune system and my body. If you suffer from allergies and sinusitis, I highly recommend you try nasal washing. It may help you, too. If you consider how much you spend on doctor visits, antihistamines, antibiotics, decongestants, and all the rest, the purchase of a neti pot is a nominal investment in your health and well being as well as a big savings to your wallet. Even if it does not work for you, the pot can be sterilised and re-sold to someone else who wants to try it. You really have very little to lose and everything to gain by trying daily nasal washing. Just remember to use distilled water ONLY and to add a pinch of non-iodised salt and a pinch of baking soda to 8 ounces of water heated in the microwave for thirty seconds first. I use the prepackaged Arm & Hammer Salt/Baking soda packets and have been very satisfied with them. This does NOT burn, and once you get used to it, which only takes a few days, you will not feel uncomfortable. The whole process from start to finish only takes about three minutes. So try it and good luck!! : ) 20 January 15: I think a lot of tree pollens and other allergens are becoming air borne with the changing of the season. The last two days I spent a small amount of time out of doors and ended up sneezing quite a bit afterward, and the last two mornings I awoke with a stuffy nose. So, the neti pot definitely does not stop allergic reactions, but it has helped keep my sinuses a bit clearer. I still recommend using it. Just do not expect that it will stop allergens from effecting you. If you are allergic to anything, you will remain allergic to it.

Poorly Designed
So I have been using a neti for years & recently broke my old one. I ordered this one to replace it & soon realized every time I used it, I was spilling salt water onto myself and my bathroom. Upon closer examination, I realized it is just poorly designed. The spout opening is lower than the top of the water reservoir. Also, the top of the fill area is not pitched at the front so, if fully filled, as you pour it, water also comes out of the top, instead of the spout. Included are photos showing this neti in front of the older one I had, which I re-purchased. You can see the subtle design differences that make a big difference in how well it pours without spilling, as well as adding usable water capacity. Am sorry to leave this negative review because I liked the quality, the packaging as well as Neti information enclosed but it is just poorly designed

Rarely has a product so fully met and, indeed, exceeded my expectations.
This was one of those things that had been on my radar for a while, but I just never got around to buying and using. Well I finally did. It sat around, barely touched, for some time. I finally went to CVS and bought some saline packets. Then later, a jug of distilled water from Walmart. And still it all sat, unused. Well today I finally used it. I didn't bother with the hassle heating up the distilled water, using it at room temperature instead. I dispensed with exact measurements, simply filling up the neti pot instead. I stirred in the saline powder with my finger, I remember just before tilting my head, as I hesitated, telling myself, "this is nowhere near the hardest thing you've ever done. Just do it already." And so I did. While the water felt interesting flowing through my sinuses, like a cool tendril snaking through my nose, it wasn't unpleasant (indeed, it was somewhat refreshing). I used a single saline packet, as recommended for first time use, as per the CVS directions. I drained the pot, blew out a satisfying glob of gunk and water from my nostrils, and, after wiping my nose clean, took a deep, clean breath of air through my nose. Others had a more difficult first time it seems. For me, it was surprisingly pleasant. The entire experience, not just the aftermath, was enjoyable, so much so that the first thing I did was sit down to type this review after using it. I fully intend to keep using this regularly after my experience today. Rarely has a product so fully met and, indeed, exceeded my expectations. And yes, as for the product itself, strictly speaking, it was everything it needed to be. It comes with directions, and the pot is well constructed. In this case, the best thing that can be said about it is it did not stick out in any way. It had no quirks or surprises. Rather, it facilitated my first time use by staying out of the way and doing its job effectively. Keep in mind that this is simply one of three items you will need, albeit the main one. You will also need saline solution and proper water. The included directions will help you with these. I used nothing but the enclosed directions and tips for my first time; external research was not necessary.
