The media could not be loaded. Looking for my ratties permanent cage after I recently adopted them, I scoured Amazon for days and kept coming back to this one. Like always, I checked the reviews, and would be disheartened by some of the negative feedback and drawn in by the positive. I decided to take the plunge and I ordered it. It arrived yesterday and my husband, who never follows instructions, had to and he did get the pieces upside down a couple of times but it was easily rectified. A couple of the holes didn’t line up, as I’d read by some buyers, but it didn’t affect the overall completion. The tray fitted perfect for my cage, although I did see some had trouble with theirs. It’s such a good size you can easily get 4-6 rats in and with the floor level in the middle having its own door, you can separate the two levels. I was able to get so much stuff in for my girls and have more planned. I am planning to add a pvc edging or finding a big enough bottom base so they can have substrate to burrow in. It took my husband around 1hr 30 mins to put together but I love it. And as you can see from Thelma and Louise demonstrating, they’re 5 months old and can’t fit through the bars. Amazing cage. I’m made up with it

The cage is sturdy, a generous size, holes were well drilled and correctly aligned so assembly was very straightforward. The cage is spacious and the large front opening doors make cleaning much easier. The design is very nice with a handy option to separate the upper and lower decks. The door locks are very good. The overall rating would have been 5* except for the plastic base tray. This slots in, under the wire floor of the cage. If the base tray had been fractionally smaller it would fit inside the cage and this would have been perfect as no animals like to walk on wire.

I was nervous because of the reviews but me and my 18 year old sister were able to put this together and never of us have ever built anything in our lives😂. We got things a little wrong a couple of times but if you really pay attention to the instructions you get the hang of it really quickly! It looks amazing and the quality is really good!

So to start with, yes to build its a nightmare, top tip start from the the wheels up. The quality is poor, alright for basic but numerous issues which if you don't mind a load of cable ties to hold it together then it would be fine.It would just about fit 2 ferrets in but not great, they must be allowed out a lot if you had 2 better for 1.better for rats. I recon it would be ok to clean but the ramps were not great at fitting on. (I built it, it was rubbish so no animals were put init) holes didn't match up, bent wires, screw that dont screw into holes, ramps that are not secure enough,bent tray (but it is a decent depth)I sent it back for a refund. My best advice is, for ferrets, more than 4 rats or 2 rabbits bite the bullet and get the next size up which is much better (still some quality issues) but better and then think if I can afford it defo go for the ferret/critter nation one, yes its pricey but both sides open so your not trying to squeeze yourself in on 1 side under a shelf to give it a good clean out. Least the refund went smoothly but advice is if you put it up and its not right, DO NOT put an animal in it otherwise they will not accept the return.

Complete waste of money. Half of it doesn't assemble, can't take out the middle to have an open structure for my rats, if I do I can't screw the top half on, wire bottom so I had to make my own base, half the screws are chewed from having to FORCE the cage together in some places, can't even add the top due to how misaligned it is.Waste of my money, can't even take it apart and send it back due to parts that have been partially destroyed during assembly. I want a refund off these folks and maybe a competent cage sent to me that I can ACTUALLY assemble.0/10 don't recommend at all.

This is a great cage for my girls They love it. It’s big enough and they can play and run around and it’s easy to put this in there tooI would recommend this cage

Well, let's start at the beginning, it was pretty simple to build. No alignment issues, no missing parts and the instructions.... oh boy do they not make sense! But to be fair, it isn't a hard cage to build. But pay attention to the cage floors and you will be all good. Cage is also really solid too! The drop locks are a nice touch also. My one gripe is only one side on the front face (right side) is a door, so cleaning it out is a faff.The plastic tray is a nice touch for those leaky messes your Stink Minks will make and good for catching any of the torn up puppy pads you cover the floor bars with. I would recommend covering both level floors as the bars will hurt any paws over time and prevents them getting stuck too.But all in all, it is a nice starter cage, but if you want to keep Stinky Slinkys in it long term, please get a 3rd or 4th level, it is too small for any more than 2 Ferrets, and I am being generous by saying 2. I plan for that as it will then be bigger than a Double Ferret Nation and cheaper too.
