Jump, Frog, Jump!

The patterned text and predictable pictures (for the next animal encounter)are excellent for young listeners and beginning readers. The color/blackand white pages also have a predictable pattern. After teaching kindergarten for over31 years, I've never found a group of children that didn't quickly chime in,"Jump, Frog, Jump." This is a favorite book to share. It is also fun to dramatize.

My 2 year old loves this. It was one of my favorites as a child, and it's so nice to share with my sons. The board book edition is nice and sturdy for small, excited hands. Repetition and a cumulative story make this a great literacy experience for older toddlers and preschool aged children.

Great book for pre-k

Perfect for toddlers language development--point to pictures, find the frog, or read the text for older children.

Classic book that's very cute! My husband loved this book when he was young, so we purchased it for our 2 young children and they love it just as much as daddy!! They love saying the "jump frog jump" part in the book. This book is fun and very entertaining!

I liked this book and used it with xylophones. The story is all sequenced and the children waited for the words jump frog jump to play up the instruments.

I read it to my Reception Class who loved it. Interesting illustrations and lovely repetition so children could join in.

Lindo livro, usado para alfabetização de crianças. Não é prime, acredito que a criança deva começar a ler por um livro mais simples. Porém, tem partes do livro de fácil leitura para crianças pequenas.

From about age 1 both of my boys (ages 2 and 4) have loved this book. I bought the first copy in a childrens' bookstore on the recommendation of an employee there. I was skeptical because the illustrations didn't blow me away as anything particularly beautiful. But the bookstore lady sure was right--my kids love this book--the repetition, the simple bright colors, they get so involved with the story. They love the foreshadowing in the illustrations of the next animal to appear. They loved the first copy so much it fell apart. This time I got the board book version.
