Saffron…the most expensive spice if not the world, then in my spice rack! I usually buy saffron from a Middle Eastern market, but I get very few strands for a steep price. Although I was concerned the quality of this spice wouldn’t be of the same smell, taste or color, I was wrong! This is such a good price for the quantity and it tastes amazing! I love the quality, color and aroma! I’m very pleased!

I bought it for the health benefits rather than a seasoning. I take it in the morning and at night. But there's barley any gold so it's really hard to tell if they are authentic. It's only my second day taking it.

You experience a unique slightly spicy new flavour. Kinda like a tea. A pinch of saffron to one cup of boiling hot water. Stir to integrate flavour. After a few minutes it should be cooled enough ready to consume. Delicious. Tasty. Soothing. You can have a second cup with the same saffron.

Saffron is saffron. The threads are bright red. Comes in a cute jar. I used it for rice pudding and it added great aroma and colour.
