My husband is very happy with this Auger Adapter.
My husband asked me to order this for him and I had no idea what it was. But he said he "needed" it so I ordered it. Apparently it is used to help him drill a hole in the ice to fish. That is the extent of my personal knowledge but my husband went ice fishing today and he said the Vendetta Precision Ice Auger Adapter worked great. He caught a nice batch of fish and didn't waste a lot of time getting a hole in the ice. He told me to rate this 5 stars. He is a very seasoned fisherman (ice and freshwater) and does expect his tools and equipment to work well. This did. If there should be any issues down the road, I will update and rerate but, for now, my husband is very happy not to have to crank the auger by hand.

Make an adapter plate to keep auger from falling through hole.
Tried this for the first time and worked very well. The first time I used it, I had my drill set to the faster speed and had too much "wobble" to effectively drill a hole. Set my drill to the slower speed and the performance was much improved. I saw some reviews that had a low rating due to the adapter falling out of the drill chuck and the auger falling down the hole, so I took a preventative measure before hitting the ice. I took a piece of plastic (a thin piece of plywood would work) and cut it in a circular shape slightly larger than my auger. I then drilled a smaller diameter hole, slightly larger than the auger shaft, and slipped it over the shaft so it was positioned between the auger flange and the thumb screw that holds the adapter in place. This way, if the adapter falls out of the drill, the auger is prevented from falling down through the hole by this "plate".

Did what I wanted it to do
Inexpensive item to turn your hand auger into a power auger. Just be sure to come up with a way to protect your auger from sinking to the bottom of the lake if it comes out of your drill. Youtube has lots of video on the situation, and it may take some thought and ingenuity on your part. Or buy something more expensive that has the safety feature built in. Worked well with my 6" strike master drill and Craftsman Lithium drill (1/2" 19.2 V). Only use the low speed when drilling. Granted I've only drilled a dozen holes so far (6" of ice) as we don't get the ice here in OH like out in MN. Have to say that it is a dream. Colder weather coming so I'll get to try it out on some thicker stuff soon. Sure it'll work just fine for my needs.

Vendetta 3/4" to 1/2" Precision Ice Auger Adapter
I needed this to convert my 8"x30" auger bit to use on a 1/2" drill. It did the job perfectly and I was able to dig a 36" deep hole in about 5 minutes or so. This held up remarkably well. The only real problem I had was that the pin was too big that came with the auger to fit in this hole. Not a problem though as I picked on up (1/4") at the local hardware store for about $3. Now I'm ready to tackle most jobs I need to with ease!

Buy it.
If you are drilling by hand, you will love this little adapter. Just connect your 18/20 volt drill and transform the old manual auger into a power unit. I don't know how many holes per battery can be drilled but we have never had to replace a battery on an outing.

Fits Eskimo ice auger.
I’m not sure why you would ever want to mess with a gas powered auger!

Vendetta Superior Stainless Steel Adapter
I originally purchased the StrikeMaster hardened steel made in China adapter at Canadian Tire, after 1.5 months my Milwaukee M18 drill snapped in off as per the 1st pic. I purchased the Vendetta S/S made in USA it fits perfectly in my auger bit and is far superior in quality & material. Hoping it lasts forever, only comment is the mfg should make the section that goes into the drill a bit longer. My spare StrikeMaster shown in the 2nd pic is going back to Cdn tire for a refund, it's junk. Very happy with the Vendetta product. Cheers David, Sylvan Lake Ab.
