Because of the price, I didn't expect this set to be so nice. The scale is a bit smaller than other building blocks, so it may be challenging for young toddlers who are still honing their fine motor skills (but good practice!) or even a potential choking risk.I think it's just right for my preschool kiddo and has potential to keep his interest as he gets older. The blocks come in lots of interesting shapes that fit together in interesting ways that spark his creativity. The little vehicles are great, and there are even a ferris wheel and hot air balloon 🎡The design aesthetics really appeal to me. I wanted to steal the trees for a diy I was working on, but kiddo said no. 😆 Point is, it's a great set, and I want to play with it too!

wow for price and quality it's amazing activity for 1 to 5 year olds.

Great looking building block set. There are 128 pieces, but you might not expect how they are counted. The cylindrical box and its lid count as 2 of the pieces. The mat is actually a 20 pieces jigsaw puzzle. I couldn't tell that from the pictures. I would have preferred just a flat mat, but the pieces fit inside the box with the blocks. There's 26 letter cube blocks, A-Z, with various windows, doors, and other features on their back side. There's 10 number square blocks, 0-9, blank on their back side. There's 4 vehicles, and while they look like they would go with wood train sets, the wheels are too shallow to actually work with the wooden tracks; they do work on flat surfaces. There's 3 people/animal figures in a simple sphere head and cylinder body style. There's 4 trees, unpainted on one side to show the wood grain. There's 4 street signs/gas pumps with 2 plus and 2 minus signs on their back side. 1 ferris wheel. 1 hot air balloon. And 53 other blocks of various shapes and designs.

This isn't just a set of blocks. Has cats, people, trees, blocks with numbers, windows, doors, stairs, storefront names, etc. lots of details so as child grows imagination,the blocks are still enjoyed.

These blocks are SO adorable! I wanted to keep it, but will probably be returning because it's missing the R in the alphabet and has an extra 6.Some of the blocks also have marks (like they accidentally got a different color of paint on them). Otherwise the quality is awesome!
