Poor Abby is getting so beaten up!
This is the 10th installment of the Abby series and is set in Texas. The series originally started out in Michigan but moved and evolved as Abby's relationship with Dutch and the FBI unfolded. This was nice to have a mystery that didn't involve federal crime, this was the more run of the mill missing person's case when a wife and mother suddenly disappeared from her home, leaving her baby behind in his crib. The story kept me guessing until the end regarding who the killer was, but I did figure out the weapon long before the characters did. The plot was complex and fast paced set along with the more mundane challenges of planning a large wedding and building a house.Poor Abby hasn't yet recovered from the injuries sustained in installment 9 and she is getting beaten on again. As always, she comes out on top. Can't wait for the next book, which I suspect will include the wedding of our heroes and a component of the mall bombing that was lurking in the back of the plot. Great job again, Victoria! Abby never disappoints me!

Ignore the Haters
I read all the previous reviews and bought this book anyway (on my Kindle - because, come on, 17 bucks for a paperback? You've got to be kidding me). And I was glad I did. I've enjoyed the series and I enjoyed this addition to it. Characters DO have to change and grow, and I think she did by the end of the book. She even helped her friends with some of their issues along the way. And, honestly, if she gets a gun as a present you ALL know how it will end with the bad guy. Right? Right? I was also kept guessing until the end on who the culprit was. Of course, it's easier to wonder when your reading an e-version. You can't tell how close to the end of the story you are. My advice - ignore the haters.

Not the most original...
This installment really seemed like a filler in the series. Abby is battling a lingering injury from her latest adventure and Dutch is caught up in his own FBI drama that is obviously foreshadowed to play into the next book. The wedding plans are in full swing, thanks to Abby's sister, and Abby gets a mystery dumped in her lap by an even more mysterious stranger. This series is definitely formula, and I think some of the reviews are too harsh in that regard. HOWEVER, Abby's abilities are just a little too convenient for me in this episode. She now seems to be able to just reach out to the universe and snatch answers, which really takes all the fun out of solving the mystery, in my opinion, and isn't terribly original on the author's part, either. Still, I enjoy reading this series and will happily move right on to the next.

Still a fun read for PG-13
I don't understand complaints for Abby Cooper. She is just an entertaining personality in a fun fiction mystery story. If a reader wants serious literature go read nonfiction murder.I enjoy the banter between Candice and Abby, Dutch and Abby. I love the pups. This is my second time reading V Laurie's Psychic Eye Mystery series but I've added Immersion Reading to all of them for the added enjoyment of professional narration.

Lethal Outlook
I am a teacher, empathic sensitive, with deep, deep level of intuition and sensory feeling. As an energy reader, for healing our emotional timelines, all books paranormal and urban fantasy are a must read, as this keeps me a little bit more comfortable, with my own level of sensitivity. The way the stories of my fave gal story tellers, are written, keeps me honed verbally, while assisting others, in bringing understanding to their journey. This is a must read. Enjoyable, excellent character interaction and great story line.

Victoria Laurie psychic mystery book
Have been buying one at a time to get the full series! Hard to pull myself away from these books. Eventually want to start reading Victoria Laurie's Ghoul books too! I'm not even a book reader normally, now have found that reading these get my mind off of all the chatter racing through my little brain too!

She's so ON!
The latest installment of the Abby Cooper Psychic Eye does not disappoint. I really enjoy all her characters new and old and the stories remain fresh. I can't wait to see what happens next as we near Abby's nuptials - will they? I certainly hope so but I know it won't be without some crazy mystery getting in the way. The downside of her book is you finish and know you'll have to wait a while to read the next one! LOL

Another great book from Victoria Laurie :)
Victoria Laurie writes well, and her books never fail to entertain me. You can read the books in her series separately, but you'll get more out of them if you start at the beginning (as is true for most series of books).Abbey Cooper is back, and without revealing the plot, she faces challenges of many kinds on the way to the last paragraph, and deals with them in her usual strong but compassionate style. She is entirely human, with faults as well as strengths. The most obvious strength is, of course, her psychic visions; as they have to be interpreted correctly, they are not always as helpful as one might expect - another challenge for Abbey to deal with.Although the books probably go under the heading of paranormal, in that Abbey is psychic, the books are very much anchored in the real world. I highly recommend them!

Cost - Extortionate!
I discovered one of Victoria Laurie's "Psychic Eye Mystery" e-books recently and enjoyed it so much that I decided to try and buy the rest of the series. They were just under £5 each and within my budget which was fine until I downloaded the most recent book, "Lethal Outlook". I didn't notice until after I had downloaded it that it cost just over £12. THREE TIMES MORE THAT THE REST. Thinking that it might be slightly bigger than the rest I check then and found that no, they were all around the same size. I canceled it and will wait a few months to see if it comes down. I hope it does.Despite this I would recommend her books as they are well written and I enjoyed them.PLEASE NOTE. My review would not publish until I had selected the number of stars I would award. If I had read the book I believe I would give it a higher score.
