Rusted after 5 days`
This is very small, could never be used for a bird bath; holds approximately 7 ounces of water, and dries out in less than one day of daylight. However, it's sturdy, decorative and was very easy to attach to my deck rail. After having water in it (no interest from birds) for 5 days it has rust in the bowl. It's now been up 2 weeks and I am learning I will need to continue treating the rust, and with any moisture there are patches of rust. I am keeping it because it looks nice as a decoration, and I drilled holes in my deck to accommodate it, and don't want to take it down and have holes in my newly painted deck. For what you really get, this is an outrageous price.

Mostly Good, a Little Bad
I bought four of these. They are heavy duty cast and look great. Three of them are perfect in all ways and went together easily. However the fourth had some problems. The hole for the threaded stud was drilled in a poorly cast part of the bowl causing it to strip out completely when I tried to assemble it. This is the type of problem all the bad reviews talk about. I used J B Weld to fill the hole and then before it hardened I set the stud in. This fixed it good as new but based on my purchase if you aren't a little handy you have a 25% chance of needing to return one of these.

Bird bath? Not so much. Pollinator drinking basin? -PERFECT
I've bought several of these for family and friends. I give 4 stars because the screw-in mechanisms can be a bit dicey. I think they are too small for birds but to fill with sand and pebbles for pollinators like bees and butterflies? FABULOUS. My brother is using a couple of them near his beehives. The basin is small and shallow, which makes this a perfect pollinator water bath. These are heavy, and sturdy. You need to attach the basin and the birds to the hook part. Not difficult to attach the birds (if you want) but the basin can be a pain. On one I needed to remove the screw part, screw in into the stand, then twist the basin on. The birds can be left off.

Be Very Gentile When Assembling
Good product, but now without it's issues. While the overall construction is very sturdy cast iron, the screw that is used to attach the "mini-bird bath" is very flimsy. I ordered two of these. One showed up without the screw at all, the other screw snapped as I was threading the bird bath on. Luckily I work in a metal shop, so I was able to tack weld them together, but if I didn't I would likely be out of luck. All in all a decent product, just be very gentile when assembling.

Broke while assembling
It is very pretty but take note of the size as the bird bath is very shallow. Maybe a humming bird might enjoy it. Also mine broke when I was screwing the bird bath onto the hanger. The metal bolt just snapped in two and was impossible to remove from either part. I did not want to take the hanger down and send it back for a replacement as it took me a while to measure and mount (I am old and it is heavy even without the birdbath attached) and I did not want to drill any more holes if the replacement did not align. I ended up ordering J-B Weld 8267-S SteelStik Steel Reinforced Epoxy Putty Stick to repair the hanger. Now that is a product I highly recommend!

Beautiful piece
It's really cute!!! I thought the bowl was too small to function as bird bath but birds love it!!!It's so fun to watch birds splashing water!

Nice-looking but not a bath
This cast-iron piece definitely adds a nice decorative element to the garden. I love how it looks and how sturdy it is. However, the "bath" is very small and shallow. If it's sunny, the plate gets very hot, and water evaporates by afternoon. Perhaps, that is why I've never seen a bird sitting there.

Basin Broke When Assembling
I liked the heftiness of the cast iron used. However, the basin is tiny, and decorative only. It will hold maybe a half cup of water. The basin (and the birds) screw into the hanger, and the basin broke after trying to tighten and straighten the basin. If you want a functional birdbath, go elsewhere.

Broke as soon as I assembled it
Shocking - the screw snapped off when I tried to assemble it and now it’s stuck. So disappointed, waste of money!
