Cowboys (All Aboard Books)

I bought this for my nephew who loves all things cowboys and he LOVES this book! I read it to him several times in a day. Fun illustrations and the story works well for any age (he was 4, but also a farm kid — would fit older kids too).

My grandkids love stories about western Cowboys and Indians. This was the perfect book to read them at night.

This book has beautiful illustrations. It has 1-2 short paragraphs per page, therefore I would recommend for ages 3 & up. It does a great job explaining what being a cowboy truly entailed.

My two year old is completely obsessed with anything horses, cows, or cowboys. We had checked this book out at the library and he liked it so much that I ordered it. I don't know that he follows the story line all that much, but he does sit quietly while I read it and looks at the pictures for quite a long time; he sometimes makes me wait to turn the page after I've finished reading so that he can look at the pictures longer. For us this book has been great, it gives a detailed history of what cowboying was like in the old west.

This book tells about the life of a cowboy living on a cattle ranch back in olden times. The wording is simple for a toddler to listen to, but would be good for a young reader later on. The pictures are beautiful and realistic. My 4 year old grandson will enjoy this book!

This outweighs all the other fancy expansive children books I have. Simple. Well written. Well illustrated. Period.

Great book, informative, with beautiful illustrations. It is not written as a story, but more as a description of cowboy life and following the typical events of a cattle drive. My (almost) 3 year old finds it fascinating, and often wants to play with his cowboy outfit and rocking horse after we’ve read it.

My eight year old loves anything to do with horses, consequently she loves everything about the Wild West. She asked for this book to learn more about them and this book certainly did not let her down. It rewarded her with lots of interesting information on their lifestyle,their dress, food and techniques they used, all accompanied with lovely rich and evocative illustrations.could not have asked for better.
