CHEAP PLASTIC TRIM KIT
Köhler is known to be a higher grade faucet and typically, their products have a look AND FEEL of luxury. NOT THIS ONE!!! Very disappointed to find the trim to be a very lightweight plastic. Looks like something you'd get from a high-end boutique or a supplier like Ferguson, but feels like something you'd expect to get from some obscure seller from China. Conversely, the replacement I got is a no-name from China and it is STOUT!!! Save yourself the disappointment. You get what you pay for, I guess but I'm not spending $150 on plastic. Sorry.

Not quite as expected, but good.
The description says the product material is metal, which is slightly misleading. The handle is made of metal but the face plate is plastic. The product looks pretty good, but it was not what I was hoping for. When considering the price I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Kohler still makes a rather impressive product.

Cheap materials, not compatible with all Kohler Rite-Temp valves
It's light, thin plastic. Very poor quality. Everything you now expect from a previously high-quality manufacturer that has moved its production to China...junk.Also, not mentioned anywhere is that it's not compatible with all Kohler Rite-Temp mixer caps. This requires a retro fit with K-1307346 (the threaded cap), an additional $50 part if your valve has the standard cap with 2 screws for the trim plate.
