Impossible to put down.
Jeanine Seymonds is an award winning publisher and is spending the lockdown with her husband, Guy at her home, Howarth Hall near Kesterly-on-Sea. She's everything, a high flying career, a loving husband, a luxurious house and a niece named Mallory. Then one day she disappeared with her car. Where's she gone?Cara Jake's is a trainee who's trying to prove herself in front of Detective Sergeant Natalie Rundle. She's team up with Andee Lawrence to solve the case.Told from six POV's of Cara, Fliss, Estelle, Jeanine, Cars and Andee and one POV of an anonymous person which is revealed in the end, this story is very very gripping and brilliantly written. The theme was normal but the way of execution is brilliant. I loved the characters of Jeanine, Guy, Estelle, Fliss, Mallory and Cara. Other characters were very good. This is a brilliant thriller not to be missed.

Not her Best
Of course the Pandemic was a tough time for all, and that’s why I gave the book a 4 instead of a 3.the characters were engaging, but Susan Lewis is very good at this. The story line dragged on and on. I actually did like the ending but overall, it was a relief that the story and mystery of where Jean was, was resolved.

Very enjoyable
The experience of a superstar author are in many pages of her books she writes and for me, I’m hardly ever disappointed when a start a new book by Susan Lewis.I own the book and I chose to listen to it on my library app. It’s well over 400 pages but it flew by when listening. I get through more of this excellent story and plot a lot easier. So who’s lying? It was very difficult to tell!In the end I thought they all were unreliable and it was hard to chose just one! It’s slower to start because my brain had to detail so many people but once I’d worked them all out I was fine.Flowed well, left me questioning things (and characters). The author steered this book ahead at full mast.Loved it.
