No more having to buy filtered water.
I really dig this water filter. I can actually taste the difference in the water. And the smell of chloromine is gone. Light weight but sturdy. I really like that it is narrow and fits in the fridge without taking up mass space. The H²O passes through the filter quickly enough. And still does gr8 job filtering out the bad stuff. After years of not having one, Im glad i finally bought this .

At the ready
First, with all the chemicals and not sure what else may be in the water I prefer filtering with a trusted system. We have one attached to the sink but it’s hard to read the date of when it was put in and also difficult to replace. I love the convenience of having the pitcher by the sink. I fill it twice to fill my water bottles for the day. I also use it for my coffee. We use a drip machine so I fill the hopper in the evening and set it for morning. The pitcher is easy to handle, not too heavy when full, the filter works well and the water has no funny taste. It also works quickly. I sometimes add a mix (like a lemonade packet) and it tastes like the flavor added, very pure. The amount I need at one time the pitcher is the perfect size. I am glad to make an investment in my peace of mind. We had it over a month now and I keep an eye on the light for a filter change. So far it’s been green. Water purity is no longer a concern.

Peace of mind and better flavor
I use daily to remove the chlorine and other impurities from my tap water. It significantly improves the flavor, and makes for better coffee and tea. We use it to filter our cat’s water as well, since kitties can be prone to kidney problems as they age. She drinks more water now, and this is healthier for her.

Good While It Lasted, But Broke After a Year
I was really happy with my Brita Everyday Standard Water Filter Pitcher at first. It filtered water quickly, improved the taste, and the design was sleek and easy to use. The handle was comfortable, and the filter replacement was simple and straightforward. For about a year, it worked perfectly, and I was getting clean, fresh water every day.Unfortunately, after a year of regular use, the lid started cracking, and now it doesn’t stay on properly. I tried to make do, but the pitcher isn’t as effective anymore because of the broken lid, and water leaks out. It’s disappointing that it didn’t hold up longer since I really liked it when it was working well.If you need a pitcher that’s durable long-term, this might not be the best choice. But for short-term use or if you're okay with replacing it after a year, it’s great while it lasts.

Absolutely worth buying "brand name" with this one
A little over ten years ago, I bought my first Brita pitcher. The house where I was staying at the time had very hard, mineral-heavy well water, so I instantly noticed the improvement in flavor vs. straight from the tap. Between then and now, I've continued to use Brita filters as my go-to for filtering but eventually had to part ways with my original Brita pitcher. My wife and I found one from a big-box brand that was 75% of the cost of the Brita and were looking for ways to save, so we decided to give it a try.I didn't realize until after that big-box pitcher met an untimely demise on our electric stove and we decided to take the risk going back with a Brita how far we had sold ourselves short - and yes, I realize we're talking about a water-filtering pitcher here. That "other" pitcher would constantly glug-glug when pouring instead of pouring smoothly, and the water was constantly leaking down into and out the bottom of the handle onto the sink or wherever the pitcher had been set. This new Brita feels like a breath of fresh air compared to that one, like someone actually took the time to design a pitcher properly to, well, pour as it should. The stream of water pours quickly and smoothly, with no "glugging," and there is zero leakage of unfiltered water from the upper reservoir. It might sound dumb, but even the mechanism for opening the top of the pitcher feels intentional and higher-grade. I also like how the pitcher is designed to catch the light going through the water and make it look "nice." These might sound like small touches, but considering we use and refill this pitcher at least a half dozen times a day, I'll just say they have already made the extra couple dollars we paid for this one well worth it.That said, if you're in the market for a water-filtering pitcher and would normally be one to scrimp and pinch to save a few dollars, I won't tell you what to do, but I'd encourage you to consider spending any extra for this pitcher vs. one of the "other" pitchers out there. Given our experience in the last couple weeks vs. the several years we muscled through using a big-box/generic pitcher (without realizing what we were unnecessarily muscling through), the small difference in price is well worth it. Well done, Brita. You did a good job with this one.

ZERO complaints 👍🏾👍🏾
Bought this as a present for my mom so I can't write based on personal experience but I can tell you based on her opinions it works well. She loves the color, says the build quality is great, it does great at filtering and it's the perfect size.
