My go-to umeboshi!
I've gotten this brand for years, tastes just like I remember from when I was in Japan. Salty, sour, delicious. I mostly use them to make one of my favorite makis, ume shiso maki. Don't forget to suck on the pits after you remove the flesh, and if you're really addicted, crack them for the little bit of deliciousness inside. I always have a container or two on hand.

Yummmmmm!
Product arrived within hours and the packaging was undamaged. Just opened them up a few minutes ago to try one and ate three instead.I’ve been ordering umeboshi onigiri from a local ramen place and became obsessed. I wanted to make it at home. I ordered plum paste previously (from someplace else) and the taste was overwhelming, but THESE whole pickled plums are exactly what I was looking for! I’m so happy I found them!! They are sour/salty, but have a sweet undertone to them. They’re within a decent price point as well, so that’s another plus. Just be mindful of the tiny pits inside. Order them, you won’t be disappointed :)

Acquired taste
I had never had pickled plum but from watching Japanese shows they were supposed to be yummy. So I decided to try. But they definitely are an acquired taste - they are neither sweet nor sour, but somewhat salty and have some of an alcohol taste; texture is not great. Looking back, I must have been crazy to be willing to try something new for $47.96 . . . for a small pack (not that a bigger quantity would have been better since if you do not like them, one is enough to try . . .) So in hindsight, I would not try something I do not know I will like for this much money again.

Nice flavor and texture
These umeboshi are just the right flavor and texture. I like the softer ones instead of the hard ones and these are soft.

READ the REVIEWS if you're ingredient-conscious!
I should have read more reviews before picking this one -- the photo on the listing is outdated or just wrong. The product I received had high-fructose corn syrup added, and I specifically am avoiding that in my diet. Oh well. They taste pretty neat: a little sweet, a little sour, and I'd love to get some that aren't so artificial. Also these have pits!! No one told me that and I was very surprised!! Also the pits are fun to suck on but they have a sharp, pointy end that will cut your gums/lips, so be careful. The packaging is recloseable but I feel like it's not really airtight.Other than feeling like I was rooked, they're fine. But I won't get them again and if you're wary of HFCS, skip this one.

Extremely moist, soft, and salty! Not very sweet or sour.
An interesting version of salt plums. I've never had any quite this wet and soft, I thought that aspect was fine, but the saltiness overwhelms the plum flavor. I did appreciate the fact that they didn't have either artificial sweeteners or shisho, which I don't like the flavor of. Good price, was worth trying, but I'm going to look for preserved plums with more sour and sweet flavor.

Very good
Delicious but pricey, but I was surprised that it was still cheaper than the exact same thing in my local Asian store. I can't remember when I didn't have ume in my house. Rice is not the same without ume.
