First I would like to say that yes you can absolutely mount this in your vehicle and use it as a horn. And it's not illegal to use the siren, it's only illegal if you use it while on the road with other drivers. It comes with mounting hardware and a bracket but not enough wire to run thr wires through the engine bay. So you'll most likely need some extra wire. I ran mine down by the pedal and mounted the speaker behind my grill. Hope this helps! P. S it's loud! I got mine for the pa system but the sirens are just a fun bonus.
