I really hadn't expected these to be so substantial and also so effective. Once loaded with batteries, the light effect and warm colour was excellent and they looked great. We hadn't done much in the way of Halloween decorations but they were enough in themselves (we bought two strands). Our very discerning nieces and nephew all gave them the thumbs up. We would certainly buy again .

Despite their charm, they're not without faults; I wouldn’t rely on the battery case to withstand a British downpour if left uncovered. The sliding battery case design is clever enough, but doesn't provide the waterproofing one would hope for here on our rainy island. Nevertheless, with various light settings available, they make for a lively feature, creating a cheery display that lasts through the evening. They're effective, charming, but just keep an umbrella handy!
