This item is NOT suitable for ceiling/drywall mount. This is not clear in ad/returning for similar item suitable for ceiling mount. This item is good ONLY for dropped ceilings.

I installed 6 of the 2x2 40W 4000K lights. They are as bright as advertised and the color is correct. Of the 6 I installed, after 6 months 3 of them only half work, and one doesn't work at all. I sent a message to the vendor, and they are sending new units. The vendor was easy to work with, but the lights not so great having a 75% failure rate in 6 months. Hopefully the replacements will last longer. Even at half lit, they are still bright enough for their task.

1. Every box was damaged and had been reaped over the fist size holes in the box.2. It is advertised as 40 watts but the manufactures sticker on each light shows it to be only 32 watts.3. 2 of the lights were bent in the middle and had to be straightened.4. 3 of the six boxes had been opened and the re-taped.5. The say they are "damp rated but there is no IP rating on the manufactures sticker.Overall they all worked and have been installed but are not the wattage were required for this space.These were installed in a public bathroom area. Mens/Womens/ADA and had to install them as we are grand opening.Will definitely not buy from this company again.

I installed this in the basement last night. I was not able to install a dimmer ... it requires a very specific dimmer. I actually used a drill and drilled holes on the edge/metal trim and then used white screws to fasten it to the basement rafters. Did not seem to effect the unit at all. Easy to install, but at the time of purchase I did NOT know that it required the 0-10V dimmer and that is not cheap nor easy to install. I would recommend the light, but buy the one that can use a normal dimmer ... I have seen them out there that are 1' x 4', but not 2' x 4' yet.If you drill the metal trim in to tight to the rafter, it makes the light look warped or wavy ... so just screw it back a bit ... pretty neat ...Now the basement is too bright, but better then being to dim :-) I can see!!!! I have one left over and think I will add it to another dark location and see if I can light up the room.

I'm all about getting as much light as possible into a space and I'm totally impressed after installing.LED Ceiling light, Solla 18W Round LED Panel Lights, Natural White 4000K, 1520LM, 40W Fluorescent Bulb Equivalent, Recessed Ceiling Lighting Flush Mount Light for Living Room, Bedroom, Dining RoomHowever, I could not get the mounting ring apart from the light fixture and finally gave up and attached like i would a smoke alarm. I even contacted the company for advice to no avail. Getting the two pieces apart would have made mounting the light much easier.Given the expected longevity of the light, the efficiency b/c of LED, and good price, I'm pleased.As others have said, light is not UL listed nor is there a ground wire (entire fixture is plastic) so potential buyer should consider that.

This is a very small, very light weight, very powerful LED light. Please be aware that the 4000K color is more like 6500K and have a very commerical blue/blue white hue. .This would make a perfect garage light (2 in each single car garage bay would be just about perfect) (that would be 6 total for a 3 car garage)..... However for an interior room or closet, make sure you want bright white to white/blue light color.The advertised 4000k on my unit is clearly 6000K to 6500K.

Nice and bright, power consumption is OK, good construction, easy to install two screws in to the underside of eave or a porch column. Fro now I'm using extension cord to plug in for power. This allows me to put a on / off timer on the cord inside the house any way. I can make it a more permanent install into the old outdoor light's electrical box by cutting plugs off but I lose timer function and would only have on / off function via a wall switch inside. One out front - out back - both sides of house, safe from bears and good for security.

There aren't many reveiws on here so I thought I'd write one. Initial quality is great, the light Output is probably around 1200 lumens, I replaced a 100 watt bulb with this fixture and its a tad brighter. The light looks nice when installed, and is actually hardly noticible against my drop ceiling tiles when lit up. There's about a half second delay when you turn the switch to the on position. Id say that the color Temperature is pretty accurate with my 4000k that I purchased. The wires ARE a tad short and ARE NOT labeled in any sort of color code for the united States (black and white) but one, read the instructions and two, when you read them you will discover that the driver is universal, meaning that you can wire that thing up using either wire for your hot or nuetral.
