Swepco808 Penetrating Oil

SWEPCO is a company that makes all types of products for machinery and equipment. I had a sales person come by a company that I worked at for thirty years. He asked me if he could demonstrate some of his products. I told him that I had time. He showed me there penetrating oil and asked me to get the penetrating oil that we used. He had two pieces of steel cable that was used in the oil field. He shook both cans the same amount of time and then he sprayed both cables in the center. He said let it set while he showed me a tube of grease which he had several different types for different applications. He told me to get a tube of mine. The grease that he was demonstrating was called impact grease. It was used on heavy machinery where there was a pin and bushings. All equipment eventually starts to get slack in the pin and bushings that leads up to needing major repairs. And a lot of money to fix these repairs. And it doesn’t take a long time for this to happen all over again. So the impact grease was formulated to return back to the place that it was needed the most. Ready to take impacts over and over again. Well back to the cables. The man put on gloves and used two pair of pliers to untwist the cables. His cable had penetrating oil all the way through and my penetrating oil went only a short depth. Never made it to the center.
