I would, but my DAMN MIND won't let me!: a teen's guide to controlling their thoughts and feelings (Words of Wisdom for Teens)
A**R
Must READ, and it's not just for teens!
When I read "The Unconscious mind always wins", I solidified my connection to this book and the author. She is credible and authoritative, and she truly understands that success comes from within as she has personally helped thousands of teens. My connection with the book started a couple pages in, because it relates to the book I wrote titled #ThePowerfulDay.I wrote #ThePowerfulDay to share a method for living a healthy way of life on a daily basis. This book, I would but my damn mind won't let me goes deeper into the conscious and unconscious mind and really helps people understand how to use their mind in a technical yet simple way.The book is filled with plenty of examples that can literally be applied to the readers lives as they are reading. The book also contains clients stories and notes that are relatable. For instance, Like Hailey I get super anxious, except my anxiety stems from war.Another client Steve connected to me, because I also got in an accident. I didn't have a problem driving afterward, instead my problem was drinking. I vowed to stop drinking, because I have a message to share with other veterans with a TBI and PTSD.To sober up I joined AA and enrolled into an intensive outpatient recovery program. I was told to live one day at a time, but there was no clear way to live one day at a time in a healthy way. This led me on a journey to discover what that meant to me, and now I am living #ThePowerfulDay because my mind will now let me. Our "unconscious mind always wins" but when our conscious and unconscious mind work together we create a win-win situation.

Excellent book - Young women can all use a confidence boost
I would highly recommend this book to all women, not just ones in their teens. This is one of those books that will have an impact on your life and your confidence. This book stands out from other self improvement books that I have read. Harnessing the power of your mind can be an abstract and elusive concept. Jacqui's writing style is conversational and down-to-earth, making you feel and understand her words like she was a trusted friend there with you.If you have any questions for her, I can say from experience that she is easy to contact and is passionate about helping young women grow. Read her book and follow her on Facebook - it's more than worth it.

Wish I had this book when I was a teenager...
In a world of Instagram and Facebook, where teens are constantly bombarded with unrealistic, filtered, fake images of how they should and shouldn't be, this book helps teens to find their true power and self-esteem. This book helps teens deal with their insecurities and self doubts. Most importantly, it allows teens to know they are loved just by being their authentic self. This book helps, not just teens, but people in general to understand their limiting self beliefs, their self talk, or at the least be aware of them. There are so many disempowering programs that have plagued minds and this book is a tool to help overcome those limitations through self-reflection.One tool for example is the awareness that we create our own reality based on what we focus on. Our subconscious mind will look for evidence to support the story of what we have told ourselves, such as "I'm not good enough", "I'm not loved", "I'm not worthy". However, we all have the power of choice. The choice to let go of that original thought and choose a better belief, one that empowers and helps us move forward in life instead of being stuck in our "story".Jacqui is a very kind soul who is a light to this world. Thank you for writing this book.

Good intentions!
I bought this book for my youngest who just turned 13, but and after reading this I will be giving it to my 18 year old and my 20 year old! She has some good points great reasonings I love that has a work page within the book. My only downfall of reading this book which was an easy read by the way. Is she doesn’t go on to show clear precise exercises for say “panic attacks etc.” I will be ordering the journal as well for my youngest she is super excited to read it I will keep you posted!

Jacqui is brilliant and this book is amazing. I read it before giving it to my daughter and she made understanding the mind and the power you have over it so simple...and doable. Thank you!

DO NOT READ THIS BOOK!
Unless you are a parent who loves your child, or unless you are a teen who wants the truth about how to create your place in the world. The book launches with a question that I suspect most teens are sick and tired of hearing "Why Can't You Just Control Yourself?" The answer to that question, and the reason that parents and other adults ask similar questions of teens is because they...do not yet understand how to control themselves. Parents, you cannot teach what you do not know, and if you were raised with criticism, judgment, mistrust, and were made to feel worthless, chances are this is the recipe from which you will raise your child. Unless of course...you read this book. While many authors and counseling professionals try to "fix" parent-teen relationships with suggestions like - give each other space, respect each others feelings, and improve your listening skills - Jacqui takes a different approach and supplies both sides with the playbook. This is how your mind works. This is where your current beliefs came from, and since your beliefs drive your behaviors you must change the beliefs before you can change your behaviors. This is how you change your beliefs. In step-by-step fashion, and using real world case studies the Author carefully explains how the process of the mind works, and reveals how to use this process to become the type of parent who will never again ask their teen, or to be come the teen that will never again have to hear: "Why Can't You Just Control Yourself?"

One of the best book for teenager
If you are a teenager then this book is especially for you.Understanding the mind is very important as many belief systems were not developed by us rather they were given to us by society or someone else so it's time to change.Firstly, the authors break down the root causes of many mental roadblocks that can often seem invincible while providing solutions to long-term stability and happiness. This book will explain not only how the adolescent brain works, but what can be done about the bondage of emotions, self-limiting thoughts, and delusions. The author proficiently illustrates the simple steps any teen can take to transform from self-deprecating to confident, in a way that anyone can understand and apply immediately. After each chapter the author has given a space in which you can put your thoughts after reading which is the best part of the book as it is the most effective way to change life by self reflection.🍁𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 🍁This book is dedicated to all the teens out there who are struggling with insecurities, self-doubts, or self- sabotaging thoughts and actions. My goal is to help you understand the power of your mind and show you how you can master it to overcome your struggles and step into the magnificence of your own being, just like I did and just like thousands of others have done using these same techniques.Read this book with an open mind and a willingness to try something different and get ready to be amazed by the results you'll find.🍁𝗠𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄🍁I would love to recommend this book especially to parents and teenagers but the values and lessons taught in this book are really applicable to anyone so anyone can read this as the main focus of the book is on self confidence, positive thinking and How to make healthy decisions in their life. It is simple, easy to read and understand

A must-read for parents of teens
Written for teens but very relevant for adults of all ages. This self-help book opens your mind to all the possibilities available to you at your on control. A must-read for parents of teens, or anyone else, with anxiety or self-doubt. Long enough to get the point across, short enough not to overwhelm. Nice work Ms.Letran!
