Excellent drum - best in the $189 - 300 price range that I've personally played and heard
I haven't bought this drum yet, but I played it today over at Guitar Center. It's a great sounding and very comfortable drum that I'm seriously looking at buying. The head was the best I've seen so far, and played like a dream -- crisp and bass-y with excellent volume, as well. Very plain body, compared to some, but the sound overwhelms the commonly available models in the $180 - 260 range, for just a bit more dinero. My guess is that the skin quality on these heads is the price differential. I think this drum is going to haunt my dreams until I get it. :D
