This musical ball is made from gourds and filled with shells and pebbles for a very traditional sound. Play one in each hand for more complex rhythms.

Making a set for my two year old for Christmas .. bought a bunch of wood, and folk instuments through musicians friend who has free shipping on anything right now.. (not prime, just through them) ..Love this, super cute.. only a few bucks, makes a great (non-annoying Lol) noise .. So happy :D

African Instruments
The rhythmkids musical ball is interesting, and looks okay in my collection. But the quality is very poor. I normally allow my students to play most of my instruments, but I was afraid to allow this particular one to be handled very much. Even I will have to be careful using it. I do not recommend it for kids, unless they are very well behaved and respectful of important items.
